Combining adventure with creativity, the trend of traveling while creating content has become a very popular phenomenon among the younger generation. Not as complicated as before, content creation while traveling can now be handled very well by relying on the right smartphone .

For those who are looking for an unusual tourist destination, Central Asia must be included in the bucket list . Because this area offers captivating natural scenery and a variety of historical locations that make it a holiday destination full of appeal.

The beauty of this Central Asian landscape has been proven by Photographer and Traveler Muhammad Sadam who visited three countries in the region, namely Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Interestingly, the moment of Sadam’s journey in Central Asia was caught epic by the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G .

According to Sadam, this Samsung flagship smartphone provides practicality when hunting photos while traveling while still offering photo quality like a professional camera. Here are some interesting tips and experiences for Sadam when capturing traveling moments with the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G in Central Asia.

1. Try Astro Hyperlapse

One of the locations Sadam visited was Jeti Oguz, Kyrgyzstan, which is known for its iconic rock formations called the Seven Bulls. Here, Sadam decided to camp so that he could be more flexible in enjoying the various natural scenery on offer. His decision helped him to capture the night sky of Jeti Oguz epically using the Astro Hyperlapse feature in Expert RAW on the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G camera.

“ At that time, I felt that photos alone were not enough to capture this epic scene, so I decided to try the Astro Hyperlapse feature on the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G. I positioned the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G in a steady place for 1 hour and got a hyperlapse of 10 seconds ,” said Sadam.

Sadam added, the Astro Hyperlapse feature on the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G is very easy to use. Simply select Hyperlapse in the camera menu, then set the timer , fps, and image quality, then just place the device that has been mounted on a tripod where you want it.

Sadam also recommends activating the Star Trails feature at the bottom right of the screen so you can get an epic hyperlapse of the night sky. He also captured the night sky at Jeti Oguz using the Astrophotography feature in Expert RAW which according to him was able to turn on the starlight and provide precise details even though at that time the moonlight was quite dominating.

2. Use Expert RAW

After Kyrgyzstan, Sadam visited Kazakhstan and was spoiled by such beautiful landscapes, one of which is Kaindy Lake, a 400 meter long lake located 129 kilometers east-southeast of the city of Almaty. Here, Sadam captured many impressive views of Lake Kaindy and the expanse of hills around the location with Expert RAW which provides high quality RAW files up to 50MP.

“ Every time I travel, I always take my camera with me so that it’s easier to take pictures. Moreover, because I’m quite a perfectionist, I always prioritize the camera to take pictures while on vacation. But this time, the quality of the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G, which has rivaled professional cameras, has made me forget to use the camera that I already have ,” said Sadam.

According to him, the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G is very versatile in taking photos in various conditions. When in a place with high light exposure, the resulting photo quality is maintained without overexposure . Then, in low light and backlight conditions which are often a challenge for other smartphones , the photos of the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G remain detailed, natural and not broken.

3. Take 200MP Resolution Photos & Zoom Up to 100x

Turning to Uzbekistan, which contains the development of human civilization thousands of years ago, Sadam was chosen because of his interest in exploring the history of the locations visited while traveling . There are two historical locations visited by Sadam in Uzbekistan, namely Tashkent and Samarkand.

While in Tashkent, the destination visited was Chorsu Market, one of the oldest markets in Uzbekistan which is still functioning today. In the past, Chorsu Market was one of the centers of the Silk Road, where many traders stopped to sell spices. While at Chorsu Market, Sadam took many pictures of the market atmosphere and detailed spices.

Continue to Samarkand, a city built around 3,000 years ago. In its development, Samarkand was a very influential central part of the past civilizations in Central Asia. One of the places visited in Samarkand is Shah-i Zinda, a building complex that has been around since the 14th century. Interestingly, the tomb of Imam Bukhari, one of the most famous Islamic leaders is also located in Samarkand.

“ Tashkent and Samarkand are beautiful locations with many objects that can be captured to become epic photos. Because every place here has its own color, like Pasar Chorsu which is vibrant because it sells lots of spices or Shah-i Zinda which has an iconic blue color, I use Expert RAW more often on the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G to make it easier to adjust the color, exposure, or light to get the unique details of each object being photographed,” said Sadam.

The freedom to take pictures with the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G is even more complete with a full 200MP resolution mode that can be used when you want to take sharp detailed pictures and the ability to zoom up to 100x. As a result, Sadam was able to take close-up photos of the details of certain buildings with unbroken results.

For Sadam, the zoom feature of up to 100x is very helpful because there are many large buildings in Uzbekistan where every corner has interesting details. So, even though he has to shoot from a distance, he can still get the desired image composition.
