POCO M4 Pro teardown

Teardown sessions or disassembling the phone body are certainly carried out by professionals. POCO users are not advised to do it themselves, because it has the potential to void the warranty. According to POCO, technicians will be able to identify if any seals are damaged because they were dismantled outside the service center.

The first part shown is the camera. For those who don’t know, the POCO M4 Pro has three rear cameras consisting of 64 MP, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro. While on the front, there is a 16 MP selfie camera.

Furthermore, there is a thermal graphite sheet that functions to transfer heat. This sheet is attached to the body frame and its position is above the battery. The battery itself has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and is supported by 33W fast charging capabilities.

POCO claims, fully charging only takes about 1 hour. This is possible thanks to the MMT (Middle-middle Tab) process which charges from the center of the battery head, then distributes power evenly to the top and bottom. That way, the charging speed will be more consistent. There is also Mi-FC technology to maintain optimal charging performance and voltage, so charging times are more efficient.

Turning to the mainboard, POCO explained that in this section there is a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, RAM, and UFS 2.2 internal storage. To keep the temperature low and within reasonable limits, including when charging, the POCO M4 Pro is equipped with LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus.

For your information, the POCO M4 Pro is available in two memory options, namely 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB. This smartphone has three slots consisting of dual Nano-SIM and one for microSD. If you want to increase storage space, users can install a microSD up to 1 TB capacity. Not to forget the Dynamic RAM Expansion feature of up to 3 GB is also embedded.

For other specifications, the POCO M4 Pro has a 6.43-inch Full HD + 90Hz Super AMOLED screen. Audio is supported by dual stereo speakers, while connectivity relies on WiFiac, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, and NFC.

POCO M4 Pro price

For those who are interested, the POCO M4 Pro is sold at a price of USD $207 for the 6/128 GB variant, and USD $241 for the 8/256 GB variant. POCO offers three color choices, including Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow.
