Not only showing off its newest line of laptops, at CES 2023 Acer also announced the presence of Ultra 3D mode on Acer SpatialLabs TrueGame. This mode is claimed to allow gamers to explore deeper into the 3D game world. What kind of improvements does it offer?

Ultra 3D Mode in Acer SpatialLabs TrueGame

In a press release received by alomaki, Monday (9/1), Acer explained that the Ultra 3D mode has enhanced stereo rendering capabilities, and can project images with real 3D depth and geometry.

Other updates also include 3D Sense, a set of 3D stereo effect configurations that match player preferences in terms of visual detail, effect, and 3D depth intensity.

“Gamers’ viewing experiences that were currently limited by 2D display devices are changing with SpatialLabs TrueGame as we continue to push the immersive 3D gaming experience by adding geometric full 3D and unleashing the power of stereoscopic 3D technology,” said Jerry Kao, Co-COO, Acer Inc.

Ultra 3D mode uses a combination of SpatialLabs eye-tracking solutions, stereoscopic 3D displays, and real-time scene rendering technologies. Gamers can immediately enjoy stereoscopic 3D gaming with the click of a button. Acer claims that the addition of a second virtual camera in 3D Ultra mode offers a 3D immersion experience that is different from the others.

Apart from the presence of Ultra 3D mode at SpatialLabs TrueGame, all products introduced by Acer at CES 2023 can be seen through the next@acer global  press conference .

For those who don’t know, Acer SpatialLabs TrueGame is a technology that takes advantage of the information developers include about shaders and 3D geometry in games. With the ease of use of the TrueGame app and the addition of an optimized Ultra 3D profile, 3D enthusiasts can easily enjoy a smoother and wider stereoscopic 3D effect without glasses, developed specifically for each game title.

One of the Acer devices that supports this technology is the Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop. At its launch in May 2022, Acer Acer claims that there are already more than 50 popular games that support this 3D mode.
