To maximize work activities, the need for devices with large screens is needed so that it is easier to run various applications at once. Present to provide an additional alternative for hybrid workers, the Acer Swift Edge is here to bring a large screen with a very thin and light weight.
Previously, other vendors such as LG have also presented a similar solution through LG Gram, favoring thin and light laptop form factors. However, the offer from Acer is said to be the lightest at the moment. While still bringing the best computing performance through the latest AMD processors.
Before being officially introduced in Indonesia, the Acer Swift Edge made an official appearance in Taipei last week. In addition to superior performance and an easy-to-carry design, it also prioritizes security features and the best screen quality.
Acer Swift Edge Body Material Designed Light & Strong
How light is the weight of the Acer Swift Edge? Only 1.17 kilograms, aka even lighter than a number of 14-inch screen ultrabooks in general. It is only 12.95mm thick, and is designed with sharp corners to make it look more like a professional device. Acer also chose a special material to make it more durable and light.
Namely a thin chassis made of magnesium aluminum (Mg-Al alloy), which is claimed to be 20% lighter than standard aluminum, but twice as strong. When the device is opened, you are immediately greeted with a very wide Acer Swift Edge screen, reaching 16 inches. The four bezels are also designed to be thin, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 92%.

Acer Swift Edge has a 4K OLED display with high color accuracy, supports 100% DCI-P3 and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. To display content more smoothly, the response time is only 0.2 seconds. Certified by VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, as well as TUV Rheinland Eyesafe which ensures eye comfort in long duration use.
Acer provides a full HD resolution webcam, paired with a fingerprint-based security system and a backlit keyboard. And despite having a thin profile, the Acer Swift Edge has quite a lot of ports on both sides. Includes two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-A ports, full-size HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Have High Performance with AMD Ryzen Pro
To support productivity on the go, Acer chose to use the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U 8-core 16-thread processor. The 6nm fabrication process keeps it power efficient while delivering high performance, while the security technology brought through AMD PRO provides an extra layer of security for IT admins. Paired with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD storage.
On the official specifications page, Acer does not specify how much battery capacity the Acer Swift Edge has. Even so, it is claimed to be used for up to 7.5 hours, which is quite impressive considering the panel it has is quite large with a 4K resolution, and in very light weight.
The price of the Acer Swift Edge is USD $1,299. Includes accidental damage protection and priority service. And of course it includes a Windows 11 license plus Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021.
