Acer recently introduced its newest laptop designed for creators and designers, namely the Acer Swift X 16. Appearing with a lightweight aluminum chassis, this laptop puts forward a combination of fast hardware and a good cooling system.
Acer Swift X 16 Specifications
The Acer Swift X 16 is armed with an AMD Ryzen 9 7940H (45W 8-core) processor paired with an integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics card, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card which brings technologies such as Ray Tracing, AV1 video encoding, and exclusive access to Nvidia Studio Drivers which include various supporting software such as Nvidia Omniverse, Nvidia Broadcast, and Nvidia Canvas.
This laptop is equipped with a TwinAir cooling system that can add up to 36 percent more airflow. As mentioned above, the body relies on aluminum which is quite light with a weight of 1.9 kilograms and a thickness of only 17.9mm.
The Swift X 16 screen carries a 16-inch OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and 100% DCI-P3 and a brightness level of up to 500 nits. The screen has a resolution of up to 3.2K (3200 x 2000), a 120Hz refresh rate, and is VESA DisplayHDR, TrueBlack 500, and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified.
For other specifications, users are presented with 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, storage in the form of SSD PCIe Gen 4 up to 2 TB, 1080p webcam with Acer PurifiedView, and connectivity consisting of a microSD slot, two USB Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 and WiFi 6E.

The touchpad space in the Swift X 16 is also 33% larger than the previous generation, and is the largest in the current Acer laptop lineup. The laptop is equipped with the default Windows 11 operating system and users can easily log in via the Windows Hello, Wake on Voice, or fingerprint reader features.

The new Swift X 16 will go on sale in July 2023 with prices starting at US$1249.99.
