Faster Performance and Supports AM5 Socket
CES 2023 again witnessed the presence of the latest generation of processors from AMD . This year the desktop version of the Ryzen 7000 Series is even more complete with the presence of the Ryzen 7000X3D which offers the fastest gaming performance.
AMD Ryzen 7000X3D Series
The Ryzen 7000X3D Series will complement the Ryzen 7000X Series processors that were launched last year in Indonesia. Unlike the standard processor, the specialty of the X3D processor is a very large memory cache. This is thanks to AMD 3D V-Cache technology which carries a stacked or stacked design.

AMD claims, Ryzen 7000X3D is the fastest gaming processor at the moment. The performance increase it brings is up to 14% when compared to the previous generation. Making it even more ideal for gamers and content creators.
In comparison, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D has the same 16MB of L2 Cache as the previous Ryzen 9 7950X. However, the L3 cache on the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is expanded to 128MB for a total cache of 144MB. Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7900X3D also carries 128MB of L3 cache with a total cache of only 140MB. Most importantly, both of these processors run at the same clock frequency as the variant without 3D V-Cache.

There are three models available in the Ryzen 7000X3D series line. Among them Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800XD which all come with a 120W TDP.
Model | Cores/Threads | Boost / Base Frequency2 | Total Cache | TDP |
Ryzen 9 7950X3D | 16C/32T | Up to 5.7 GHz / 4.2 GHz | 144MB | 120W |
Ryzen 9 7900X3D | 12C/24T | Up to 5.6 GHz / 4.4 GHz | 140MB | 120W |
Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 8C/16T | Up to 5.0 GHz / TBD | 104MB | 120W |
The Ryzen 7000X3D series of processors with 3D V-Cache Technology will be available for socket AM5 starting in February 2023.
AMD Ryzen 7000 Series
For standard desktop processors the Ryzen 7000 Series will carry the Zen 4 architecture and a TDP of only 65W. According to AMD, efficiency and performance are indeed a priority for this processor.

The Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processor family will also be equipped with AMD Wraith Cooler support which will be their entry point into the AM5 socket ecosystem. Other features available support the Precision Boost Overdrive feature to increase performance through overclocking . There are three processor variants in the Ryzen 7000 Series line. Among them are Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 7 7600.
Model | Cores / Threads | Boost / Base Frequency2 | Total Cache | TDP | Cooler | SEP (USD) |
Ryzen 9 7900 | 12C/24T | Up to 5.4 GHz / 3.7 GHz | 76MB | 65W | Wraith Prism | $429 |
Ryzen 7 7700 | 8C/16T | Up to 5.3 GHz / 3.8 GHz | 40MB | 65W | Wraith Prism | $329 |
Ryzen 5 7600 | 6C/12T | Up to 5.1 GHz / 3.8 GHz | 38MB | 65W | Wraith Stealth | $229 |
The availability of these three processors will be available on the market January 10, 2023 with prices starting at US$229.
