Comes in 5 Variants with Zen 4 Architecture
After announcing the AMD Ryzen 7020 Series, finally at CES 2023 AMD officially introduced the entire range of AMD Ryzen Mobile 7000 series processors. There are five processors that AMD has prepared to target various laptop segments. Among them are the Ryzen 7020 Series, 7030 Series, 7035 Series, 7040 Series and 7045 Series.
AMD Ryzen 7045 Series “Dragon Range”
At the top of the line is the Ryzen 7045 Series which will bear the codename Dragon Range. This series is aimed at high performance gaming laptops and mobile workstations. So, the performance is the fastest among all Ryzen 7000 Mobile processors.
The Ryzen 7045 Series is only available in one variant, namely the HX Series. This processor carries the same 5nm fabrication and Zen 4 Core architecture as the desktop version. According to AMD, the Ryzen 7045HX Series is able to offer up to 18% single-threaded and multi-threaded performance increases of up to 75% when compared to the previous Ryzen 6900HX processor.
In this series there are four processors available, namely Ryzen 9 7945HX, Ryzen 9 7845HX, Ryzen 7 7745 HX and Ryzen 7 7645HX.

AMD Ryzen 7045 Series “Dragon Range” processors will be found in various gaming laptops from ASUS, Lenovo, MSI and Alienware starting in early February 2023.
AMD Ryzen 7040 Series “Phoenix”
The second series is the Ryzen 7040 Series codenamed Phoenix. This processor will be available in two variants, namely the HS Series and U Series. The Ryzen 7040 Series is prepared for the Elite Ultrathin laptop category.
This is a premium laptop category with a thin and light body design that doesn’t have a discrete graphics card. Like the Ryzen 7045 Series, the 7040 Series also carries the Zen 4 architecture. The difference is that the 7040 Series is supported by AMD integrated graphics performance with the latest RDNA 3 architecture for up to 12 cores.
This integrated graphics performance is fast. So, it can meet gaming needs even though it’s not a laptop in the gaming category. Overall, in the Ryzen 7040 Series, AMD offers increased multithreading capabilities of up to 34% and up to 21% for gaming compared to its competitors.
In this processor, for the first time, AMD has also embedded an AI Engine called Ryzen AI. This feature is presented to optimize the real-time AI experience. In fact, its ability manages to overtake the Apple M2 CPU by up to 20% and is up to 50% more power efficient.
Ryzen 7040 Series “Phoenix” will be available in three models, namely Ryzen 9 7940HS, Ryzen 7 7840HS and Ryzen 5 7640HS. All three will be available in March 2023.

AMD Ryzen 7035 Series “Rebrandt-R”
Furthermore, the Ryzen 7035 Series codenamed Rebrandt-R is a series of processors for thin and light laptops in the premium class. Unlike the Ryzen 7040 Series, the focus of this processor is on performance and long battery life. Ideal for supporting hybrid working styles.
In fact, the Ryzen 7035 Series is an updated version of the previous Ryzen 6000 mobile series. This processor still carries the Zen 3+ architecture and RDNA 2 integrated graphics. The only update it brings is a higher clock speed.
Like the 7045 Series, there are two variants available, namely the HS Series and U Series with a total of five processor variants. Among them are Ryzen 7 7735HS, Ryzen 7 7735U, Ryzen 5 7535U and Ryzen 3 7335U.

AMD Ryzen 7030 “Barcelo-R”
Ryzen 7030 or what is called Barcelo-R is a series of processors for the mainstream thin and light laptop category. There is only one variant in this series, namely the U-Series.
However, in this series, AMD also presents a “Pro” version for business or enterprise class laptops. Supported by AMD Pro Technologies version “Pro” Ryzen 7030 Series offers a multi-layer security system and enterprise-class management solutions.

The Ryzen 7030 Series carries the Zen 3 architecture. This processor offers a balance between performance and power efficiency. Supported by integrated Radeon graphics, users can also enjoy a smoother esport-class gaming experience and smoother video playback.
There are three processors available in this series. Among them are Ryzen 7 7730U, Ryzen 5 7530U and Ryzen 3 7330U. Laptops with Ryzen 7030 Series will be available from manufacturers HP, Acer, Lenovo and ASUS starting January 2023.

AMD Ryzen 7020 “Mendocino”
This processor is the first Ryzen 7000 Mobile series to be introduced. The Ryzen 7020 carries the Zen 2 architecture and integrated graphics with RDNA 2 technology for everyday laptops.
