Features of Astell & Kern A&ultima SP3000

The angular design and knobs on the side of the body that characterize Astell & Kern portable music players are retained. Specially, the A&ultima SP3000 is the world’s first portable music player that carries the Independent Dual Audio Circuitry design. This design completely separates balanced and unbalanced outputs. So, it can produce sound quality that is as clear and natural as possible.

The A&ultima SP3000 is also the first to be equipped with the AK4499EX DAC chip from manufacturer Asahi Kasei. The DAC is tasked with separating analog and digital signal processing to boost sound quality.

For other specifications, the A&ultima SP3000 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6125 chipset from the Qualcomm manufacturer. On the front, you can find a Full HD screen measuring 5.46 inches. The interface has also been updated to make it even easier to use.

It also supports Hi-Res Audio premium entry. In fact, it can support almost all high-resolution audio formats such as MQA and DSD 512. Meanwhile, for streaming to TWS or wireless headphones, aptX-HD and LDAC support are available.

Price and availability

If interested, the A&ultima SP3000 is sold at a price of US$3,699. Most expensive among other Astell & Kern portable music players. For a cheaper alternative, you can look at the A&ultima SP2000 and SP2000T .
