ASUS announced two monitors with fast refresh rates in the TUF Gaming line. The two Full HD monitors with 24.5-inch IPS panels are the TUF Gaming VG259QR and VG259QM.

ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QR

ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QR and VG259QM differ in refresh rates. The TUF Gaming VG259QR offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz. So, ideal for lovers of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games.

ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QR supports Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology and 1 millisecond response time (MPRT). In addition, ASUS also equips it with G-SYNC support to deliver a smooth gaming experience without tearing and stuttering by enabling VRR (variable refresh rate) by default.

To optimize the gaming experience, the TUF Gaming VG259QR has been equipped with integrated speakers and a range of advanced technologies. Such as Shadow Boost which automatically brightens dark areas, GamePlus which was developed in collaboration with Pro-players to be able to practice and improve gaming skills, and GameVisual which has seven pre-set display modes to optimize visuals for various types of content.

This monitor also supports flicker-free technology and is TUV Rheiland certified. ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology is also present to reduce the amount of potentially harmful blue light emitted by the screen. Four different filter settings are available to control the amount of blue light reduction.

Meanwhile, the TUF Gaming VG259QM offers an overclockable 280 Hz refresh rate with a response time of 1 millisecond. This means that this monitor offers a refresh rate that is twice as fast as a conventional 144 Hz monitor. Making it very suitable for gamers who play FPS (First Person Shooter) games.

This monitor also supports 72% NTSC color gamut and 1000:1 contrast ratio. In addition, there is also HDR technology with DisplayHDR 400 certification. Other features of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM are similar to those of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QR. Such as Nvidia G-Sync support, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB SYNC), Shadow Boost, GamePlus GameVisual, Flicker Free and Ultra-Low Blue Light. This monitor is also equipped with an integrated 2 watt speaker.
