The demand for laptop daily drivers that are more powerful, aka powerful, has recently grown very significantly. Users from all walks of life are increasingly unable to fulfill their needs by using an entry-level laptop that has less expected capabilities.

Yes! In the current new normal era, users are increasingly used to the creative process with high productivity. Workers are getting used to work from anywhere (WFA), not just work from office (WFO) or work from home (WFH).

Elementary, middle school, vocational to high school students are getting used to doing assignments and uploading to cloud services. Some of the tasks given are increasingly demanding them to be creative visually, even multimedia.

That is the reason why laptops that can be used daily, aka more powerful daily drivers, are increasingly urgent. ASUS as a major player in the laptop industry in Indonesia certainly sees this need. Because of that, ASUS presented the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400).

Priced at a more affordable price, this laptop is very capable for users as mentioned above. Apart from that, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is also the most powerful everyday 14-inch OLED screen laptop. Why is that?

The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is powered by an AMD Ryzen Mobile H Series processor. The AMD Ryzen H Series has different characteristics from the U Series. If the U Series is closely related to ultra low voltage, the H Series is a high performance processor with more power.

Interestingly, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is also the only thin and light performance laptop. Not only that, already equipped with an OLED screen, this laptop is marketed at a more affordable price.

Brings ASUS OLED Technology

As the name implies, this laptop also offers a very high-quality screen with an ASUS OLED panel with 2.8K resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3. To support greater creativity, the panel uses an aspect ratio of 16:10 so that more content can be displayed on the screen.

Unlike the IPS screen used on laptops in general, ASUS OLED uses an OLED panel and has been equipped with various special features so that it can produce the best visual quality. ASUS OLED also comes with features that can help prevent user eye damage.

Yes! It is not without reason. Laptops that use ASUS OLED screens are able to display the best visual quality. One of the keys to displaying the best visual quality is the level of color reproduction which can be determined by the color gamut.

The ASUS OLED screen has a color gamut of 100% DCI-P3. This means that the ASUS OLED screen is capable of displaying all colors in the DCI-P3 color space, where the color range is wider than sRGB, which is still used as the standard for laptop screens.

In addition, DCI-P3 is also a color gamut that is widely used by the film industry in the world because it has a very wide color range. It aims to make the details in the film can be displayed very well.

Having the ability to display a large number of colors means nothing if the displayed colors are inaccurate. This is one of the advantages of ASUS OLED, namely the ASUS OLED screen has been calibrated from the start so that each color can be displayed as it should.

The ASUS OLED screen has even pocketed the PANTONE Validated Display certification so that the level of accuracy of color reproduction cannot be doubted. Another advantage offered by ASUS OLED is consistency in presenting visual quality.

The ASUS OLED screen can maintain its visual quality, including the level of accuracy and color reproduction, even if the screen is set to a low brightness level. Even at a brightness level of only 11%, the ASUS OLED screen can display the same visual quality as at 100% brightness.

Very high and accurate color reproduction quality, as well as color consistency at low brightness levels will certainly make Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) users feel more benefited, namely users can focus more while working.

When used for work, especially for a long enough duration, the biggest negative effect when using electronic devices such as laptops is exposure to blue light radiation. Yes! You should know that exposure to blue light radiation can interfere with eye health.

To reduce this negative impact, ASUS OLED is equipped with technology that can significantly reduce blue light radiation emission. Interestingly, although it is capable of significantly reducing the emission of blue light, it does not reduce the resulting visual quality.

In addition, so that the user’s eyes don’t get tired easily, ASUS OLED is also equipped with anti-flicker technology. Not to forget, ASUS OLED has also received certification from TÜV Rheinland for anti-flicker and low blue light technology.

This certification confirms that ASUS OLED’s ability to maintain eye health is not a gimmick. Some of these eye-pleasing features allow Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) users to use the laptop longer without having to worry about eye health.

Powerful Performance for Everyday

As previously mentioned, the basic needs of everyday users can be met by this one laptop. Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is made to enhance the creative lifestyle of its users with powerful components in it.

Comes with AMD Ryzen 5000 series, this laptop is equipped with DDR4 RAM up to 16 GB. To maximize performance when running Windows 11 applications, users can switch to Performance mode which will make the processor work with a TDP of 45 watts.

This increase will make the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED work more agile and responsive. Meanwhile, as a support for storage performance, ASUS has used storage based on M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD with a capacity of 512GB.

Following are the technical specifications for the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400), which we will discuss about its performance:

Warranty2 years global warranty and 1 year ASUS VIP Perfect Warranty

You can see, in terms of specifications, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is a relatively affordable laptop. With a price below IDR 13 million, you will get a laptop with reliable performance.

As proof, the Ryzen 7 5800H installed in it is a processor with 8 cores (cores) capable of running 16 threads at once with a large cache, which is 20MB. The processor, which runs with a default TDP of 45 watts, has a base speed of 3.2GHz and can be boosted up to 4.4GHz.

Compare that to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U Series which has a TDP of 15 watts and a base speed of just 1.9GHz. In addition, support for AMD Radeon Graphics integrated into the CPU also has sufficient performance to run casual gaming.

As an illustration, here are some benchmark results obtained by the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) with Ryzen 7 5800H and 16GB RAM:

The single-core or multi-core performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H used by the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is satisfactory. Its performance is higher than AMD Ryzen 7 5800U and the maximum turbo speed of its 8 cores is only limited to 3.4GHz, while Ryzen 7 5800H can reach 3.8GHz.

Even though the single-core turbo speed can both reach 4.4GHz, turbo on 8 cores will certainly feel significant when users work in multitasking conditions. When used to play games, the performance of the integrated Radeon Graphics Ryzen 7 5800H is also quite good.

The ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is also tested to play the Shadow of the Tomb Raider game which is quite heavy. At FullHD resolution with left-aligned settings, this laptop is only capable of producing a less playable frame-rate, which is only 28fps.

But if used to play more casual games like Street Fighter V, for example, with FullHD resolution and Picture Quality set to Medium, the performance of Radeon Graphics based on AMD Cezanne 7 nanometers is sufficient.

Then, what about the storage performance? When tested with the CrystalDiskMark 8 application, the read speed of the storage installed on the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED reached more than 3500MB/s, while the write speed almost reached 3000MB/s.

This indicates that the operating system, applications, data stored on this laptop SSD will be loaded quickly. Another interesting thing, not only does it offer high performance, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is also a laptop that is fun to carry anywhere.

From tests conducted with PCMark 10 Modern Office, which simulates working with office, multimedia and web applications non-stop, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED 3-cell Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 50WHrs can supply power for up to 8 hours more.

Work More Productively

Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is a laptop designed as a device to support daily activities so that users can be more productive, such as a touchpad with a wider size and an ASUS ErgoSense keyboard.

The keyboard comes with key spacing, depth of press, and stability that has been specially designed and precise so that users are comfortable when typing. Apart from the keyboard and touchpad, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is also equipped with a special audio system with AI Noise Canceling technology.

Yes! The support for AI Noise Canceling technology can reduce noise around the user so that the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) can always be relied upon to make conference calls or online meetings in various conditions, such as in a noisy cafe area.

The Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) also comes with an integrated HD webcam so that users are always ready for video conferencing at any time. And for those of you who often work anywhere but still need to connect with colleagues or clients via video conferencing, you don’t need to worry.

When the video call is finished, all you have to do is slide the physical privacy shutter slider on the HD resolution webcam available on the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED. Thus, none of the users out there can secretly peek at your activities via the web camera.

For those of you who have high mobility, the Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) can be a reliable device. Vivobook Pro 14 OLED (M3400) is designed to be compact and lightweight with a weight of only 1.4Kg and a body thickness of only 18.9mm making it very easy to travel with.

With various advantages offered, ranging from performance class processors, quality ASUS OLED display panels, to batteries that can last a long time, all of them make the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED the right laptop to be your daily daily driver.
