Audio Technica launched a range of audio devices to celebrate its 60th anniversary . One product that caught the eye the most was the ATH-WB2022 wireless headphones.
Features of Audio Technica ATH-WB2022
There are two features of this headphone. First, these are Audio Technica’s first wireless headphones to feature premium wood. The earcup uses a combination of flame maple, walnut and mahogany wood made by the legendary Japanese guitar manufacturer, Fujigen.

By carrying three different wood materials, it is able to provide a better acoustic attenuation effect and a more natural audio reproduction. Meanwhile, the earpad and headband are covered with a layer of Alcantara velvet which is soft and comfortable to use.

The second highlight, the ATH-WB2022 is the first wireless headphones with a balanced audio system. This means that these wireless headphones will completely separate the audio in the left and right channels.
The sound reproduction relies on a 45mm HD driver. The driver is equipped with a magnetic circuit and the cavity is coated with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating.
Carrying a balanced audio system, each of these drivers is supported by the ES9038Q2M DAC from the ESS Saber manufacturer and the MUSES05 premium op AMP from the Nisshinbo Micro Device manufacturer. Each channel is also powered by a separate rechargeable battery. For battery life can be up to about 9 hours.

For audiophile connoisseurs a balanced audio system is very important. The reason is, with a balanced audio output system, the sound is guaranteed to be very clear and without crosstalk or noise between the left and right channels. For streaming audio, these headphones support the LDAC codec which can stream high-resolution audio in 24-bit/96kHz format.
