Samsung announced the presence of One UI 4, its newest user interface based on the Android 12 operating system. There are various improvements and changes that Samsung offers through One UI 4, ranging from customization, privacy, to access to the ecosystem.

For more details, just take a look at the 7 new features of Samsung One UI 4.

1. Ease of customization according to each style

In a press release received by Yangcanggih, Friday (11/26), Samsung explained that One UI 4 allows users to express their individual personalities. There are various Color Palettes to choose from, and users can change the appearance starting from the home screen, icons, menus, buttons, and of course the background.

According to Samsung, One UI 4 features simplified interactions and a clean design. Users will get customization options at every turn, so they can create a look with their own style.

Users also have easy access to a more interesting and diverse range of emojis in one place. If one emoji is still missing, users can also combine two emojis into one animation to really express feelings.

2. Privacy enhancement

In One UI 4, Samsung brings the latest privacy and security features so users can choose what they want to share or keep private. Users can monitor and control privacy settings more easily. The security system will give a warning when the app tries to access the camera or microphone. For example, from the dashboard below, users can immediately temporarily block camera and microphone access to all applications.

As a privacy option, a small green dot will appear at the top right of the screen when an app is using the camera and microphone. One UI 4 also takes advantage of an extension to Android 12’s permission options, allowing users to see a history of things they’ve allowed in the last 7 days, not just the last 24 hours.

3. Connect to the wider ecosystem

Samsung’s partnerships with other industry leaders, such as Google, ensure a seamless experience when using third-party apps and services. When using the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Watch, or Galaxy Tab, users will get the same look and feel across devices.

Samsung One UI 4 availability schedule

One UI 4 is available on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra starting November 15 and will be releasing soon for the previous Galaxy S and Note series, as well as the Galaxy A series, foldables, and tablets.
