Hardware manufacturer Colorful introduced its newest product line through the Colorful Battle-AX series for the Memory RAM and Storage M.2 NVMe SSD categories. These devices support the latest generation of Intel platforms, giving PC builders an opportunity to upgrade their PC builds.
First in the Memory RAM category there are Battle-AX DDR4 variants and DDR5 variants. The reason for Colorful’s release of these two models is to meet the needs of PC builders who are still using the old platform aka DDR4.
The two can be distinguished by their appearance. While the DDR4 Battle-AX RAM comes with a white heatspreader, the DDR5 version is dominated by black with a touch of red. Here, both 8GB and 16GB single module options are provided.
Colorful DDR5 Battle-AX comes with a choice of 4800MHz and 5200MHz frequencies at CAS Latency CL40 while DDR4 versions at 3200MHz and 3600MHZ with CAS Latency CL16 and CL18. Colorful provides a three-year warranty for its newest RAM product.
SSD Colorful Battle-AX NVMe CN700

The second product launched is the Colorful CN700 M.2 NVMe SSD which can also be used on laptops. Similar to the DDR variant, Colorful CN is also released in two models for the PCIe 4.0 version and the CN600 in PCIe 3.0.
The CN700 version can also be used to upgrade storage on PlayStation 5 which relies on PCIe 4.0. The Colorful CN700 has a read speed of 5,000MBps and a write speed of 4,500MBps.
Here, there are 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacity options available. These two M.2 NVMe SSD products are also backed by Colorful’s three-year warranty. The Colorful CN600 variant has a read speed of 3,400MBps and a write speed of 3,100MB with a PCIe 3.0 interface.
Colorful Battle-AX DDR5 and DDR4 RAM products are priced starting at USD 80 or around IDR 1.2 million. The M.2 NVMe SSD product is priced from USD $36 for the PCIe 3.0 model while the PCIe 4.0 version is installed at prices starting from USD $70.
