The South Korean manufacturer, Coway , first appeared in 2019 with an air purifier or air purifier product. Three years Coway has been, its product range is now more complete. Not only water purifiers, Coway now also provides ready-to-drink clean drinking water solutions through a series of water purifier products.

Coway water purifier product range
Coway’s commitment to helping create a healthy environment has been realized through the establishment of the Coway Water Quality Lab (WQL). Officially operating on 1 November 2022, the laboratory which was jointly developed with the Faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering (FTSL) ITB facilitates checking water quality for prospective customers and monitoring water quality for Coway customers.
The presence of the Coway Water Quality Lab is also expected to support Coway in educating the people to continue to increase awareness of safe and quality drinking water and be the first step for Coway to achieve its mission as ‘a total water solution company’ in 2023.
There are five Coway water purifier products that can be selected according to user needs. For the top tablet models, Cinnamon is available with a 5L tank capacity, Neo Plus with a 5.8L capacity, Villaem II with a 11.3L capacity, and Ombak with a 13.5L capacity. Meanwhile, for the floor standing model, there is a Core with a capacity of 21.1L.
All of Coway’s water purifier products are equipped with a sophisticated layered filtration system. Among them are Neo-Sense Filters, RO Membrane Filters, Plus Inno-Sense and Antibacterial Filters.
All of these filters work differently. The Neo-Sense Filter is responsible for removing particulate matter, chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and dissolved organic and inorganic impurities. RO Membrane Filter to remove water contaminants such as heavy metals, harmful organic chemicals, microbes as well as radioactive substances are all removed. Plus Inno-Sense Filter to reduce odors and improve water taste. Finally, Antibacterial Filter to prevent the growth of microorganisms in the water tank. Thanks to this advanced filtration technology, Coway water purifiers can purify water from various harmful substances so that it is safe and ready for users to drink.
At the media gathering event held by Coway, Jane Gulo as the Coway Water Quality Laboratory Manager directly demonstrated the capabilities of Coway’s water purifiers by comparing the TDS contained in raw water from tap water and water filtered by Coway products.
Raw water as measured by a TDS meter shows the number 132 PPM, while the filtered water from Coway products only has a TDS of 13 PPM. This shows that the Coway water purifier equipped with an RO Membrane filter is effective in significantly removing harmful contaminants.
