Last year Dell Technologies introduced Concept Nyx, a gaming concept that can be considered quite ambitious, as it offers easy access to a library of games from various devices and screens. Now at CES 2023, the Dell Concept Nyx is showing off its controller and split screen feature. Like what?
Controller Concept Nyx
For those who don’t know, the idea of Concept Nyx is to present a ‘server’ with a large library of games, and allow gamers to play them on various screens in the house. For example, gamers start playing on the living room TV, then move and continue on the bedroom TV.
A year has passed, Dell has again provided an update regarding the continuation of the Nyx project by announcing an accessory in the form of a controller or gamepad. The design is quite unique, and is claimed to be able to meet the needs of gamers with different genres.
“We then tried to explore further to create a controller that can immediately resume the last game session that was played. We are also constantly working on creating controllers that automatically optimize depending on the game being played,” said Glen Robson, chief technology officer, Client Solutions Group, Dell Technologies.
This controller has a fingerprint sensor that can bring gamers to the game of their choice in an instant. Gamers can also project content directly to either device or screen by pointing the controller at the device and pulling the trigger. There are also some quite interesting features, such as the shift key, scroll wheel, and touchpad.
Split screen feature
The split screen feature is one of the interesting updates that Concept Nyx brings at CES 2023 . Later users can multitask and view messaging applications, email, movies, or games on an intuitive split screen. Home users can connect one or more wireless headsets at once, then play games on half of the screen while the rest of the family watches movies on the other half.
