DJI claims the M350 RTK is an enhanced flagship drone platform that is more adaptable, safer and efficient for any aerial operation in public safety, energy, mapping, infrastructure or forestry.
The DJI Matrice 350 RTK is a refinement of the previous version that was popular in the enterprise market, namely the DJI Matrice 300 RTK. Christina Zhang, DJI’s Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, said: “It’s great to see how commercial drone pilots around the world are using the DJI platform to carry out their operations with increased safety and more effectiveness than using traditional technology.
“The new capabilities offered by the advanced DJI Matrice 350 RTK technology allow operators to push these boundaries even further,” he said.
Pros of the DJI Matrice 350 RTK
The DJI Matrice 350 RTK drone has a maximum flight time of 55 minutes and a payload capacity of 2.7 kg. The M350 RTK also has an IP rating upgrade from IP45 to IP55, as well as a six-directional binocular vision system and infrared sensor to provide better awareness, positioning, and obstacle detection capabilities.
The drone also incorporates a multi-layered redundancy design on the aircraft and sensor systems. In addition, the FPV camera has been upgraded for safer night operations. Also available is the CSM radar which can be purchased separately and mounted on top of the drone, providing a range of up to 30 m for detecting subtle obstacles within a 360° detection range.
In terms of handling, the M350 RTK is equipped with DJI RC Plus, which provides a 7-inch high-brightness display, Dual Operator Mode options, and up to six hours of uptime with a standard WB37 external battery. This drone is dust and water resistant with an IP54 rating and has an operating temperature of -20° to 50° C. The drone is equipped with buttons and dials on the front, back and top, as well as customizable button functions. The RC Plus app, Pilot 2, improves efficiency with a full range of options for managing drones and projects.
The M350 RTK also includes a variety of smart features that increase operational efficiency. The AI Spot Check feature can automate routine inspections and produce consistent results. The PinPoint feature allows object marking and calculation and projection of coordinates onto all camera views as Augmented Reality (AR) icons, which are very useful in search and rescue operations.
The new TB65 battery in the M350 RTK has a 100% increase in the number of charge cycles and can be recharged for up to 400 cycles. The dual battery system supports battery swap while in operation, enabling repeated flights without turning the drone off.
Users can also set the number of days of self-discharge, update firmware, export logs, and access other quick operations with great convenience.
