At the Gamescom 2022 event some time ago, Sony introduced its latest generation controller for the PlayStation 5 , called the DualSense Edge. Claimed to have high performance, this controller can also be customized both hardware and software.

Fitur DualSense Edge

DualSense Edge is supported by a feature that allows users to change the function of certain buttons or disable them. Gamers can also adjust analog sensitivity, dead-zone, to trigger buttons. For example, gamers reduce the travel distance manually to get faster input for competitive FPS games.

No less interesting, DualSense Edge has a feature to save multiple profiles at once. That way, gamers can use the right controller settings for every game they play. There is also a dedicated Fn button for easy access to several features such as moving from one profile to another, adjusting the game and chat volume, and entering the Settings menu.

Gamers can also replace stick caps with three available options, including standard, high dome, and low dome. Meanwhile, two additional back buttons can be installed and adjusted according to their functions. The old DualSense features such as haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, motion control, and so on are back here.

“DualSense Edge also features a number of design touches that we hope players will enjoy, including a black-and-white color scheme inspired by the DualSense controller and a unique PlayStation Shapes pattern,” said Daisuke Kurihara, Art Director.

Launch schedule

Unfortunately Sony has not announced when the DualSense Edge will be sold to the market. The price is still a secret. To be sure, the latest wireless controller for the PS5 is scheduled to hit the market in the next few months. Let’s just wait!
