Completing the Liva line of mini PCs, ECS has announced the Liva Z3. There are two models available namely Liva Z3 and Liva Z3E. Both PCs with ultra-compact designs are powered by a choice of processors up to Intel Pentium Silver.
Features of ECS Liva Z3 and Liva Z3E
The ECS Liva Z3 and Liva Z3E are different in design. Liva Z3 comes with body dimensions of 5 x 4.6 x 1.4 inches. Meanwhile, the Liva Z3E has a slightly taller body design with dimensions of 5 x 4.6 x 2.1 inches.
As a result, the volume capacity of the Liva Z3E is larger. Seen by the availability of an additional 2.5-inch slot to install a hard disk or SSD. Liva Z3E can also carry two RS232 COM ports.
The specifications for both are similar. The ECS Liva Z3 and Liva Z3E will be available with a choice of processors up to the Pentium Silver N600. For a cheaper option, there is also a choice of processors with Intel Celeron N4500 and Celeron N5100. The RAM it supports is up to 16GB. For storage space, both rely on eMMC with a choice of capacities up to 128GB. To install the SSD is available one M.2 2280 PCIe slot.
All the processor options are from the Intel Jasper Lake processor family. The advantage, with a TDP of 6 watts, this chip is quite powerful as well as very energy efficient when compared to Intel Atom processors. ECS Liva Z3 and Liva Z3E can support configurations of two monitor screens with output up to 4K resolution. So, it can be relied on for a variety of needs from home users to businesses.
