Sharing files between Android devices is getting easier. Especially for Galaxy devices from Samsung, there is even an advanced sharing feature called Samsung Quick Share. This feature allows you to share any file more quickly, easily and safely.

Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Quick Share

1. Can share any file

First introduced in 2020, Samsung’s flagship file sharing feature allows sending a wide variety of file types. Users can share photos, videos, simple notes, and documents with this feature.

2. The process of sharing files is very fast

Sending or receiving all files with Quick Share can be very fast. Regardless of the number and size of the files. With a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, users can also send files to up to eight people at once.

3. Share image files without quality loss

Sharing image files or photos with Quick Share is also certain not to experience a decrease in quality. This means that the image or photo received will still be the same as the original file that was sent.

4. Can support Non-Galaxy devices

Quick Share can be used on all Samsung Galaxy devices, including tablets and smartphones. But, interestingly, Quick Share is also compatible with other Android smartphone or tablet devices.

When using Quick Share with non-Galaxy users, simply select the files you want to share via Quick Share and take one of the options: Copy link, Share in an app or Share using QR code.

5. Sharing files is safer with Private Share

Quick Share is also supported by the Private Share feature. This feature allows users to share important files or information more securely. Different from Quick Share which uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, Private Share is more sophisticated with support for file encryption using blockchain technology.

Users can send various kinds of files via Private Share, including images, videos, audio, and documents. Twenty files totaling up to 200MB can be sent at a time to designated recipients using a phone number and identification number.

To be more secure the sender can set the recipient’s access permission and file expiration date before sharing the file. The sender can also adjust settings and revoke sharing permissions even after the file has been sent.

In addition, the sender can check whether the recipient has received the file, whether they have opened it, and at what time the file was opened. This is to ensure confidentiality so that files sent cannot be downloaded, and screenshots cannot be taken, thereby preventing files from being shared with unauthorized parties.
