Gigabyte announces the S55U gaming monitor . This gaming monitor comes with a 55-inch screen panel size, complete with support for Quantum Dot technology and runs the Android operating system.

As a gaming monitor, the Gigabyte S55U carries a VA panel. The resolution is 4K with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a response time of 2 milliseconds GtG. With Quantum Dot technology the colors presented on the screen will also spoil the eyes of gamers. For color accuracy, the Gigabyte S55U supports DCI-P3 96% and sRGB 140% color coverage standards. In addition, support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and AMD FreeSync Premium is available.

One thing that is interesting about the Gigabyte S55U is that this monitor runs the Android operating system. WiFi connectivity is also supported. So, if not used for gaming, the Gigabyte S55U can offer functions like a Smart TV. Content streaming services such as NetFlix and Youtube are readily available. If there is not enough Google Play Store app store to add various applications as needed.

Another feature, the Gigabyte S55U provides two 10W speakers that are supported by DTS HD and Dolby Atmos technology. Connectivity is also very complete. Including, two HDMI 2.1 ports that can be relied upon for gaming with the Playstation 5 console. One of the absent monitors is not yet equipped with DisplayPort.
