GoPro announced the arrival of its latest action camera HERO 11 Blac k. Bringing updates to its features and specifications the HERO 11 Black will be the most advanced action camera of the year.

GoPro HERO 11 Black Features

The most significant update of HERO 11 Black is in its sensors. HERO 11 Black brings a sensor with the largest size and resolution among other GoPro action cameras.

The sensor size is 1/1.9 inches with a resolution of 27 megapixels. Previously, HERO10 Black used a 1/2.3-inch sensor with a resolution of 23 megapixels. The sensor is still supported by the GP2 chip.

Although the sensor size is larger, the video recording capability is still the same as the HERO10 Black. It can be up to 5.3K/60p resolution and for slow motion up to 4K/120p resolution.

The difference is, HERO 11 Black now supports 10-bit video recording. The larger sensor size also allows this action camera to record with an aspect ratio of 8:7. The positive value is that users can now make it easier to create vertical video format content for TikTok, Instagram Reels or Youtube Shorts. Not only that, users can also record videos with HyperView mode. In this mode, the image capture will be the widest among other GoPro cameras with a 16:9 ratio.

Another feature, HERO 11 Black is now supported by a stabilizer feature with HyperSmooth 5.0 technology. Support for the 360-degree Horizon Lock feature is also still available. This camera also features Night Effect Time Lapse, TimeWarp 3.0 at 5.3K resolution for making Hyperlapse videos, and a larger battery. HERO 11 Black is powered by an Enduro battery which offers 38% longer recording time compared to other GoPro cameras.

Price and availability

If interested, the price of the GoPro 11 Black is US $ 500 or around 7.4 million Rupiah. GoPro also presents a Creator Edition version for US$700. For HERO 11 Black Creator Edition there are additional accessories such as Battery Grip for longer video recording time, optional microphone, external microphone input, HDMI port for attaching an external display, LED light and two Cold Shoe mounts for attaching additional accessories.
