[Hands-On] A Closer Look at Huawei MatePad

Success with Huawei MatePad 11 last year, Huawei is now presenting the latest generation of Huawei MatePad tablet. This tablet is very attractive with features and a selling price of four million Rupiah. Curious as to what?

Premium design

Even though it is sold at a lower price than the MatePad 11, the Huawei MatePad still looks premium. The design is thin and light. It weighs only about 450 grams (without the keyboard cover). The thickness of the body is 7.45mm. Very compact and easy to move around. Thanks to its light weight, this tablet is still comfortable to use in portrait or landscape positions.

Like other tablets, the Huawei MatePad also has a camera. The rear camera and the front camera both use an 8 megapixel sensor. So, it can be relied on for shooting and video conferencing.

Eye-catching screen

The screen sector is one of the main attractions. The Huawei MatePad looks modern with a 10.4-inch FullView screen framed by a fairly thin bezel. The panel carries IPS technology with a resolution of 2K 2000 x 1200 pixels. The display on the screen is very pleasing to the eye. Looks sharp and rich in color. This display panel has also received TUV Rheinland certification. So, it is safe in the eyes for long-term use.

Complete accessory support for productivity

The Huawei MatePad is sold as a bundle with the Huawei M-Pencil stylus pen and Huawei Smart Keyboard. This is an added value because it is very adequate to support productivity. So, the Huawei MatePad can be used like a laptop.

The keyboard is quite comfortable to use for typing. Writing, scribbling or drawing on the touch screen is also very comfortable with the Huawei M-Pencil.

Unlike the MatePad 11, this stylus pen is not equipped with a magnetic system. Cannot be attached to the top side of the tablet. On the keyboard cover there is also no slot to store the Huawei M-Pencil. Less practical and need to be vigilant when taking it on a trip. To recharge the Huawei M-Pencil battery you also need to use a special dock.

Harmony OS and Huawei App Gallery

The Huawei MatePad runs the Harmony OS operating system from Huawei. This operating system comes with a simple interface and is very easy to use. Huawei App Gallery app store support is also available.

Since its global launch in 2018, Huawei AppGallery has now become one of the top 3 app marketplaces globally. The number of applications in the AppGallery is currently also getting more complete. From productivity applications, entertainment, banking, and marketplaces are available in the App Gallery. Going forward, Huawei will also continue to launch new high-quality applications, and collaborate with application partners to provide exclusive offers for Huawei users.

Huawei Super Device

The most interesting thing about the Huawei MatePad is that it supports Huawei’s latest platform called Super Device . The Super Device platform allows all Huawei devices to be integrated and connected. Through the SuperDevice platform, the host device or terminal can immediately detect all Huawei devices in the vicinity to connect. So, greatly shorten the pairing time between devices.

The Super Device platform can also support more productive workflows. Super Device is supported by three main modes namely Mirror, Extend and Collaborate. Mirror allows you to share your screen, Extend mode to make the MatePad tablet a second monitor and Collaborate to share files between devices. To find out more about the Huawei Super Device, see the following article .

Huawei MatePad Price

The Huawei MatePad can already be pre-ordered from 12-22 April 2022 at a price of IDR 4,899,000. During the pre-order period, customers will also get a Huawei Smart Keyboard, Huawei M-Pencil and an application package which includes 3 months of VIP WPS Office membership, 1 month of free storage of 200GB for Huawei Mobile Cloud, 3 months of VIP Vidio membership, 180 days of VIP membership. Jnotes, and 3 months of VIP Touchnotes membership.
