Not wanting to be left behind by its competitors, HP has finally released a series of laptops with AMD Mendocino or Ryzen 7020 Series processors . This power-saving processor for entry-class laptops will be present in three available HP laptop models with a choice of screen sizes ranging from 14 inches to 17 inches.
HP Laptop 14-em0047nr
This laptop comes with a 1366 x 768 pixel HD screen that measures 14 inches . The performance is entrusted to the AMD Athlon Gold 7220U processor which is supported by 8GB of RAM. For storage space, PCIe NVMe SSD support is available with a capacity of 128GB. Specifications that are classified as sufficient for basic computing needs.
Currently, there is only one processor configuration with Athlon Gold available in the US market. But, hopefully in the future there will also be an option with an AMD Ryzen 3 7020 processor. That way this laptop can compete with Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 1 AMN7, Acer Aspire 3 Slim (A314-23M R24X) and ASUS Vivobook Go 14 (E1404F).
HP Laptop 15z-fc000
For bigger screen options, the HP Laptop 15z-fc000 comes with a variety of screen configurations and options. The cheapest model with HD screen 1366 x 768 pixels, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and Athlon Silver 7120U processor.
An option with an Athlon Gold 7220U processor is also available. If you need faster performance, configurations with processors up to AMD Ryzen 5 7520U are also available. For screens, options are available up to Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and SSD storage space with a capacity of up to 1TB.
The HP Laptop 15z-fc000 provides various other supporting features, such as a 720p webcam with privacy protection features and a button to mute the microphone.
HP Laptop 17z-cp200
Finally, the 17-inch HP Laptop 17z-cp200 . The available processor options use AMD Athlon Gold 7220U or AMD Ryzen 3 7320U. The Athlon model uses a screen panel with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, 8GB of RAM and only 128GB of SSD storage.
Meanwhile, the configuration with AMD Ryzen 3 7320U uses a Full HD display panel, 8GB of RAM and is equipped with up to 1TB of SSD storage space. That way this laptop can be an alternative for those who need a cheap laptop with a large screen.
Price and availability
These three laptops are already available in the US market. Prices for the HP Laptop 17z-cp200 start at US$500, the HP Laptop 15z-fc000 starts at US$460 and the HP Laptop 14-em0047nr starts at US$430.
