The presence of the 11th Generation Intel Core processors does allow manufacturers to make laptops that are getting thinner and lighter. One of them is the MateBook X 2021 from Huawei.

Huawei MateBook X 2021 Specifications

The overall body design of the MateBook X 2021 looks similar to the MateBook X Pro 2021. The thickness of the body is only about 12.7mm. Meanwhile, it weighs less than 1 kg or about 997 grams. So, it will not burden the shoulders when invited to mobility.

Like other MateBooks, the display panel also comes with a very thin frame. The ratio of the screen panel to the body reaches 90%. The screen carries a 13-inch IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 3:2. The screen resolution is 3K 3000 x 2000 pixels with a maximum brightness level of 400 nits. The screen also supports 100% sRGB color coverage.

Behind its thin and light body design, the MateBook X 2021 is only available with an Intel Core i5-1130G7 processor. TDP Intel Core i5-1130G7 is only about 9 Watts. 19W lower than the Intel Core i5-1135G7 which is around 28W. So, the Intel Core i5-1130G7 is indeed more power efficient. Its performance is also supported by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD storage space is available. The specifications are more than enough to support productivity running office applications to video conferencing.

Another feature of the MateBook X 2021, this laptop is equipped with a fingerprint sensor, WiFi6, Bluetooth 5.1, and carries two USB Type-C ports. In the keyboard area you can also find a pop-up webcam that can be hidden when not in use.

MateBook X 2021 Price

This laptop will be available in the Chinese market first. The price of the MateBook X 2021 starts at US $1400
