Huawei’s wearable ecosystem is growing again. In its home country, China, Huawei announced the Vision Glass smart glasses.

Features of Huawei Vision Glass

Vision Glass are glasses designed for VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) scenarios. The design looks very minimalist. Similar to sunglasses in general. The design also emphasizes comfort with a lighter weight.

Carrying Micro OLED Vision Glass technology can display a virtual screen at Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels up to 120 inches from a distance of about 4 meters and 100 inches from a distance of 3 meters.

The brightness level of the displayed image can be up to 480 nits. Ideal for indoor use. Meanwhile, the color already supports the DCI-P3 color coverage standard of 90%. Vision Glass has also obtained Low Blue Light certification from TUV Rheinland. So, it is safe for the eyes and users can avoid the effects of tired eyes when used for a long time.

Another feature available is integrated speaker support. So, users no longer need to use portable speakers or wireless earbuds. For connectivity, it carries a USB-C port to connect to PC systems, smartphones and tablets. There is also a diopter adjustment feature from 0 to 500 degrees. That way it can be used by anyone, even users who have visual impairments such as nearsightedness.

Price and availability

Vision Glass will be available in December 2022. However, Huawei has opened pre-orders, although the selling price has not been announced yet.
