Huawei announced its latest smartwatch that comes with complete health features. Called the Huawei Watch D, this device is equipped with an ECG (Electrocardiogram) sensor which means it is able to detect symptoms of heart rhythm disorders.
Huawei Watch D Specifications
The Huwaei Watch D sports a 1.64-inch AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels at 326ppi. The body uses aluminum alloy material and is available in two color options, namely Black and Titanium.
As mentioned above, health features are the main offering of this smartwatch. The ECG sensor is supported by TruSeen 5.0+ technology which uses 8 circular sensors and a pair of light sources with sapphire glass lenses, as well as PVD-coated ECG electrodes to filter out interference for accurate results.
According to Huawei, they have collaborated with 301 hospitals in China to test the accuracy of this feature. Huawei promises Watch D can detect the risk of Atherosclerosis, Arrhythmia, and Sleep Apnea.
Watch D is also capable of monitoring the user’s blood pressure. Huawei uses TruBP technology, which uses a micro air pump and air bag to measure blood pressure at the wrist. Huawei claims the sensor is quite precise with an error margin of ±3mmHg.
This IP68-certified waterproof smartwatch is equipped with a battery that can keep it on for up to 7 days.
Huawei Watch D price
Huawei Watch D is sold at a fairly high price, which is US$470 and will only launch in China on December 25, 2021. There is no information about its presence in other countries.
