The 13th Gen Intel Core processor family for desktop is expanding. Intel introduced the Intel Core 13th Black Edition processor. There are two processor variants in this edition, namely Intel Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F.
Features Intel Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F
Intel Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F are not new processor chips. But an improved version of the original version. The two sectors that are improved are the clock speed and cache speed.

Intel Core i5-13490F is the same as the original Intel Core i5-13400F. This processor carries six P-Cores and 4 E-Cores with a total of 12 cores and 16 threads. Intel Core i5-13490F maximum clock speed is at 4.8 GHz. Faster than the Core i5-13400F which runs at a maximum speed of 4.6 GHz.
For the amount of cache, the Core i5-13490F offers 24MB of L3 cache and 9.5MB of L2 cache. The original version is only 20 MB for L3 cache and 9.5 MB for L cache. This means the Intel Core i5-13490F brings an increase in the amount of cache up to 20% and around 4% faster clock speed.
Then what about the Intel Core i7-13790F? This processor brings an increased L3 Cache of 33 MB and 24 MB L2 Cache. However, the unique clock speed is lowered to 5.1 GHz.
Previously, the i7-13700F and i7-13700 were able to run at a maximum clock speed of up to 5.2 GHz. So, when compared to the two processors, the Black Edition version is indeed only the cache which is enlarged.
Prices for Intel Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F
The Intel Core i5-13490F and Core i7-13790F are currently only available exclusively for the China market. There is no more detailed information on when both will be available globally. The price for the Intel Core i5-13490F is around US$235 and the Core i7-13790F is around US$442.
