Kingston Technology takes part in the CES 2023 event . One of the superior products they showcased was the IronKey Vault Privacy 50C , a USB Type-C flash drive (flash disk) that is claimed to have qualified protection to maintain data security. Like what?
Fitur Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C
In a press release received by alomaki, Thursday (5/1), it was explained that IronKey Vault Privacy 50C is a flash drive that can protect user data from BadUSB and Brute Force attacks. The device is FIPS 197 and XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encrypted.
Users can take advantage of the Multi-Password option (Admin, User and One-time Recovery) with Complex or Passphrase mode. The traditional Complex Mode allows passwords of 6-16 characters using 3 of the 4 character sets
Meanwhile, Passphrase mode allows users to select a numeric PIN, sentences, word lists, or even lyrics from 10 to 64 characters long. Later Admin can enable User password and One Time Recovery, or reset User password to restore data access.
To aid in entering passwords, the “eye” symbol can be activated to show a typed password, reducing typos that can lead to failed login attempts. In the event of a Brute Force attack, IronKey Vault Privacy 50C will lock the User or One-Use Recovery password after up to 10 consecutive incorrect passwords, and wipe the crypto drive if the Admin password is incorrect 10 consecutive times.

Equally interesting, to protect against potential malware, Admins and Users can use Read-Only mode. Apart from that, there is also a built-in virtual keyboard to protect passwords from keyboard eavesdroppers (keyloggers) or screenloggers (screenloggers).
Price and availability
There is no information when Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50C will cost. To be sure, the choice of capacity is quite diverse, ranging from 8 GB to 256 GB.
