Lenovo announced the arrival of the fourth generation of the ThinkPad X1 Extreme, its flagship laptop known for always putting forward a slim and light design. One thing that really sets it apart from the previous generation is the option to install a graphics card up to Nvidia RTX 3080.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 Specifications

Just like its predecessor, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 still offers a body made of Carbon Fiber which is not only tough, but also lighter. As a result, this laptop looks slim with a thickness of only 17.7mm and weighs about 1.81 kilograms. It is ideal for traveling.

Performance is promised faster with 11th generation Intel Core processors, with options up to Core i9 H-Series vPro. For memory, users can install RAM up to 64 GB DDR4-3200MHz and storage in the form of SSD up to 2 TB M.2 PCIe Gen4.

The most interesting thing comes from the graphics card sector. ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 will be available with Intel UHD graphics card options up to Nvidia RTX 3080 as the highest variant. Among them, users can choose a variant with RTX 3050 Ti, RTX 3060, or RTX 3070.

Especially for the highest variant, Lenovo added the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 with the latest hybrid cooling system that relies on heat pipes, a large vapor chamber, keyboard air intake, and a dual bypass design to increase air circulation to reduce heat.

Regarding the screen, users will find a size of 16 inches with resolutions ranging from 2560 x 1600 pixels (400 nits, 100% sRGB, 60Hz), up to a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels (600 nits, 100% AdobeRGB, HDR 400, 60Hz, 8+2 bitcolor).

Lenovo claims the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 battery can provide up to 10 hours of endurance. In addition, users are also presented with other new technologies such as WiFi 6E, Full HD webcam, Dolby Atmos speaker, and fingerprint sensor.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 price

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 is scheduled to hit the market in August 2021. For those who are interested, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 is priced starting at US$2150.
