For those of you who are still unsure about buying, maybe you should read the following Spider Man PC review.
The presence of Marvel’s Spider-Man game in 2018 has indeed made many people applaud the fun of playing it. In fact, the game adapted from the superhero comic Spider-Man won the title ” best super-hero game in 2018″ not long after its release. For those who don’t know, Marvel’s Spider-Man is an open-world story game from Sony and Insomniac Games.
Unfortunately, this Spider-Man game made by Sony and Insomniac Games is only released exclusively on PlayStation 4. As a result, PC gamers can’t enjoy swinging between skyscrapers.

Interestingly, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered which was brought to the PC was ported from PS5. To ensure the quality of porting , Sony even acquired a specialist development studio for game porting called Nixxes Studios. However, what is the actual port quality offered by Sony and Nixxes Software?
Answering this question, I have played this story from Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered to the end on PC. And on this occasion, I will share my experience playing this game made by Sony and Insomnia Games. Without further ado, here’s a review of Marvel’s Spider-Man PC.
Thick Combat Mechanism with Spider-Man Style

The game that raises the character of Spider-Man is certainly not far from a fistfight against big-name baddies. Because of that, the mechanism of the fight must be made as fun and as similar as possible to the fighting style of the spider man. Well, in my opinion — this has been well fulfilled in this Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered game .
The fistfights in game one are made very immersive . So, you have to join your brain to fight your enemies. What’s more, every time you get involved in punches — the enemies you’re going to fight against are sure to be busy, aka brawls. But don’t worry, the power of Spider Sense will help you avoid enemy blows. A little explanation about Spider Sense, every time a punch flies at you — Spider-Man’s head will emit a white light telling you to dodge immediately.

Typical of Spider-Man, players can fight using their bare hands, Web Gadgets, and make use of the objects around them. Interestingly, there are also several types of enemies that cannot be beaten just like that. Some of these enemies require players to use techniques such as pelting objects around, using the Web-Shooter gadget , to finish off these enemies in the air. You can also disarm the firearms used by enemies. Even cooler, you can throw these firearms back at your enemies.
An Iconic and Exciting Spider-Man story

If you have ever watched a movie or read a Spider-Man comic, surely you are familiar with the iconic enemies of the spider man. Well, in this one game — the main story plot is to save the city of New York from Dr. Octopus, Mister Negative, Lizard, Rhino, Vulture, and Scorpion. These six supervillains want to complete their revenge on Norman Osborn.
Interestingly, at the beginning of the story you will meet and fist fight against the Kingpin. However, after that, Kingpin will stay in prison and not help the six criminals that Spider-Man will fight.

Not only playing as Spider-Man, you will also play as Mary Jane Watson, Miles Morales (before being bitten by a magical spider), and of course Peter Parker. Instead of fist fights, as MJ and Miles — you’ll have to sneak around places like the Kingpin’s museum, Norman Osborn’s penthouse, and more.
So, when you become Peter Parker — you are taken to live the story of the ‘human’ life of Spider-Man. Most importantly, you will help Aunt May in running a shelter for homeless people called FEAST.
In my personal opinion, the story packaged by Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is very ‘alive’. The dialogue and voice acting made by all the characters in this game are perfect. Moreover, the voice and style of jokes from Yuri Lowenthal fit perfectly with Peter Parker. One word for this story from Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered; perfect .
Comfortable Gameplay Even Using Mouse and Keyboard

Initially, I was hesitant to play Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered using a mouse and keyboard. After trying it, it turns out that the mouse and keyboard controls are well optimized by Nixxes Studios which makes the gameplay comfortable.
To start swinging between buildings, all you have to do is hold down the left Shift key and point where you’re going. Because directing it using the mouse, you can be more agile in slipping between tight buildings. Of course, this can’t be done when you’re using a controller.

In the scuffle, the controls that are presented are also quite simple. To cast a basic attack, you only need to press the left mouse click. You can also hold down left-click to launch enemies into the air. Your left hand also doesn’t have to reach far for the buttons when getting into a fight. Apart from the movement buttons (W, A, S, D, Space), you only need to press E to shoot spider webs at enemies, activate healing abilities by pressing 1, and 2 to do the Finisher.
If a key-bind doesn’t suit you, the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered also lets you customize your key-bind however you like.
Superior Graphics and Performance

Regarding graphics, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is really pleasing to the eye. Small details like the texture of Spider-Man’s costume make the graphics even more realistic. Light reflections and shadows on glass or water also make the overall graphics superior.
Unfortunately, my potato PC can’t run this game with right alignment settings. With the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB specifications — managed to lift Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with almost all high settings and still showing 50-60 FPS. However, when in a crowded place with NPCs — the FPS will drop into the 30s and the game will feel choppy.
Not only that, when downloading this game — I highly recommend you put it on the SSD. The reason is, when running it on the HDD — loading the game will feel very long, especially every time you go in and out of the building you will be met again with loading. Now, when I move it to an SSD, it loads super fast.
Closing of the PC Spider-Man Review

Being the umpteenth game adaptation of Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered really deserves to be called the best Spider-Man game ever made. Superior graphics, life-like characters, super fun storytelling, super fun movement mechanics, to interesting easter eggs , all of which make this game made by Insomniac, Sony, and Nixxes really worth working on.
Interestingly, you can also play with tons of additional content such as follow-up stories and various costumes from famous Spider-Man films. At USD $58,5 (on Steam), I highly recommend Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered to accompany your weekend.
