MediaTek announced its newest chipset, this time aimed at the entry-level segment. Called the MediaTek Helio G36, the SoC is claimed to be ideal for an affordable cellphone that carries a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
MediaTek Helio G36 specifications
Basically the Helio G36 has many similarities with the Helio G37. The difference is in the lowered clock speed of 100MHz, namely Cortex-A53 2.2GHz. The rest of the features embedded are still the same as the Helio G37 which was already available. Graphics matters are entrusted to the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
As mentioned above, the Helio G36 is able to support a screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Because this is a low-end chipset, of course, 90Hz screen support is more for scrolling pages and displaying smoother animations on the interface. Yes, not for gaming.
The Helio G36 is equipped with HyperEngine 2.0 Lite technology to manage performance and efficiency. There is also Network Engine 2.0 which is claimed to provide a faster and more reliable connection. Not only that, this chipset also supports single camera configurations of 50 MP.

Availability schedule
MediaTek Helio G36 is scheduled to launch first in India in the near future. Unfortunately, there is no information on which smartphone will be the first to adopt this chipset.
