A microSD card with a capacity of 1TB has been on sale since 2 years ago. However, until now there has been no capacity greater than 1TB. Then how can Micron offer a very large capacity with a very small microSD design design?
The secret, the Micron i400 carries 176-layer 3D NAND technology. The NAND technology developed by Micron is a new standard in the industry with nearly 40 percent more layer count than 3D Nand technology developed by other manufacturers.
For performance, the Micron i400 supports speeds with A2, U3 and Class 10 standards. This means that this memory card offers a minimum sequential write speed of at least 30MB/s for video recording. It is capable enough to save high-resolution video. According to Micron, the Micron i400 is designed for storage space on security cameras. This memory card can be used to store video 24 hours nonstop up to about 5 years.
No wonder the design is also tough. Micron i400 has been designed to be shockproof, waterproof and can still be operated from temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. In addition to the 1.5TB capacity, Micron also provides capacity options from 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
