Mitakon Speedmaster is a line of lenses from ZY Optics that emphasizes a large aperture. The latest model, the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5, is officially released as a cheaper alternative to the Leica Summilux M 90mm F1.5 lens.
Features Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5
The Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5 is in the medium telephoto lens category. It is ideal for portrait photos. According to Mitakon, with an aperture of F/1.5 users can also produce portrait photos with a maximum bokeh effect behind the subject. This lens will also be very reliable in low light conditions or shooting at night.
As an alternative to Leica lenses, at first glance this lens design is indeed similar to Leica lenses. The body length is about 102mm and weighs about 770 grams. There are two color options, namely black and silver.

Behind the body design, the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5 carries nine lens elements in six groups. Includes two extra-low dispersion lens elements and one ultra high-refractive lens element. With this formula, the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5 is claimed to be able to produce sharp photos with very minimal chromatic aberration effects.

Meanwhile, the Mitakon Speedmaster 90mm F/1.5 focus setting only supports manual focus control. ZY Optics has also tested this lens using lens adapters from the manufacturers Techart and Megadap to Nikon and Sony mirrorless camera bodies.
The good news is, with these two lens adapters, when attached to Nikon and Sony mirrorless camera bodies, users can enjoy the autofocus feature in all modes. Including, autofocus mode based on the subject’s face and eyes.
