To complete its mirrorless camera ecosystem, Nikon launched the CFExpress Type B 660GB memory card. This memory card offers large capacity and fast read and write performance.
Features of Nikon CFExpress Type B 660GB
The Nikon CFExpress Type B 660GB offers read speeds of up to 1700 MB/s and writes of up to 1500 MB/s. It’s not the fastest. The Lexar manufacturer still holds the record for the fastest CFExpress Type B memory card through the Lexar Diamond CFexpress Type B with reads up to 1900 MB/s and writes up to 1700 MB/s. Although not the fastest, the Nikon CFExpress Type B 660GB is still ideal for high-resolution video recording.
The 660GB capacity offered is indeed unusual. Generally, CFExpress Type B memory cards on the market offer a capacity of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. Even so, with a capacity of 660GB this memory card is certainly enough to accommodate high-resolution video file storage which generally takes up a lot of storage space. According to Nikon, the CFExpress Type B 660GB is suitable for use in the Nikon Z9 full frame mirrorless camera to support video recording up to 8.3K/60p resolution in N-RAW format.
