Nvidia announced its newest desktop graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4070. Promised to have performance that is more or less on par with the RTX 3080 , this GPU actually runs with only half the power consumption of its predecessor.
More than 100 fps at 1440p resolution
Quoting Nvidia’s official website , it is explained that the RTX 4070 carries the Ada Lovelace architecture with DLSS 3 technology, real-time Ray-Tracing, and the ability to run the latest AAA games at 100 fps and above at 1440p resolution.
According to Nvidia, titles like A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dying Light 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, or Warhammer 40,000: Darktide can run at over 100 fps thanks to DLSS 3. Ray-Tracing performance is also claimed to be better due to improved Shader Execution Reordering (SER), cutting-edge Opacity Micromap, and Displaced Micro-Mesh Engines.
Compared to the RTX 2070 Super, the RTX 4070 offers an average of 2.6 times faster performance with DLSS 3, and up to 1.4 times faster than the RTX 3080 also with DLSS 3. The RTX 4070 has 12 GB or 2 GB more memory of the standard RTX 3080.
As mentioned above, with performance equivalent to the RTX 3080, this graphics card is even more power efficient. The Total Graphics Power is 200W, with an Average Gaming Power of only 186W. Lower than the RTX 3070 Ti which has a TGP of 290W and AGP of 240W.

Not just for gaming, this GPU is certainly ideal for content creation needs. The video editor will be presented with a video export speed of 20 percent faster.
