Still talking about Acer’s progress at CES 2023 , for the superior gaming laptop category the products introduced are the latest Acer Nitro lines, namely the Acer Nitro 17 and Nitro 16. At first glance, the specifications look tempting with the 13th generation Intel Core processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series GPU. .
Acer Nitro 17 Specifications
The Acer Nitro 17 comes with a 17.3-inch Full HD 144Hz or 165Hz display. There is also a screen option with QHD resolution with a refresh rate of 165Hz. This laptop weighs less than 3 kilograms, and is supported by a large touchpad and 4-zone RGB keyboard.
Performance relies on the 13th generation Intel Core HX processor, GPU RTX 40 Series, and DDR5 4800 MHz memory up to 32 GB. Meanwhile, the storage space has a capacity of 2 TB SSD M.2 PCIe gen-4. To keep performance stable, Acer installed dual fans with 4 outlets on the sides and rear, an upper air duct, and liquid metal thermal grease.

This Windows 11-based laptop is equipped with Killer DoubleShot Pro, Killer WiFi 6 6150i, HDMI 2.1 port, Thunderbolt 4 port, microSD reader, and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The hardware embedded in the Acer Nitro 16 is more or less similar to its siblings. The main difference is in the screen size of 16 inches WUXGA or WQXGA with a refresh rate of 165Hz plus support for Nvidia Advanced Optimus. This laptop is also equipped with a 4-zone RGB keyboard.
