At the OPPO INNO Day 2021 event last week, OPPO introduced an interesting product called OPPO Find N. Yes, this is the first flagship-class folding smartphone from OPPO, which of course carries a variety of advanced hardware.

According to OPPO, Find N is the result of 4 years of research and the development of 6 generations of prototypes. This device presents a new approach in terms of form, to present a unique smartphone product for both new users and existing users who have used folding smartphones before.

“OPPO is committed to developing innovations focused on user experience. The company’s new brand proposition ‘Inspiration Ahead’ carries the spirit of optimism to face all challenges and uncertainties,” said Tony Chen, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of OPPO.

For more details, just take a look at the 7 advanced features that you can find in OPPO Find N:

    1. Landscape ratio

As a folding smartphone, of course, OPPO Find N has a flexible screen. In the folded position, Find N is a small and portable device that still allows users to access the full range of features. When opened, this smartphone presents a large and immersive landscape screen display.

OPPO Find N is equipped with a 5.49-inch screen on the outside, and 7.1 inches with an 8.4:9 aspect ratio on the inside which automatically activates landscape mode to watch videos, play games, or read books without having to rotate. device.

    2. Flexion Hinge

The Flexion Hinge or curved hinge on the OPPO Find N brings together 136 components with extreme precision up to 0.01 mm. OPPO claims, Flexion Hinge can move smoothly like the movement of joints in the human body.

Even more interesting, the Flexion Hinge on the OPPO Find N functions as a buffer when the screen is folded. Thus, the curvature of the screen is up to 80% less noticeable compared to other devices (based on TUV’s assessment). In addition, Flexion Hinge also eliminates gaps between screens when folded, offering a more integrated display and protecting the inner screen from scratches.

    3. Mode FlexForm

The FlexForm mode on OPPO Find N gives users the flexibility to use the device in various scenarios. This is made possible by the Gear and spring structure in the Flexion Hinge, allowing the device to stand upright when the screen is opened at an angle of between 50 and 120 degrees.

OPPO has also equipped Find N with software specifically designed for folding smartphones, namely by adjusting the user interface to make it more compatible with Music, Notes, and Camera applications.

en using Notes, OPPO Find N can function as a mini laptop so users can take notes without needing to hold the device. Because the Find N can stand alone, this device can also function as a tripod, making it easier for users to make video calls, join online meetings, or record 4K HD time-lapse videos without having to hold the device.

    4. Powerful Serene Display

The screen on the OPPO Find N consists of 12 layers of Serene Display with a 0.03mm Flexion UTG (ultra-thin glass) coating, which is claimed to provide good protection and durability. OPPO promises that the Serene Display can be folded and unfolded smoothly up to 200,000 times without causing crease lines on the screen. This has also been verified by TUV.

OPPO has also embedded smart dynamic refresh rate technology that can be adjusted from 1 to 120 Hz, based on the content being viewed by the user. The inner screen also has a touch sampling rate of up to 1,000 Hz. The maximum brightness level can reach 1,000 nits.

    5. Software innovation

OPPO Find N comes with the latest hand-gesture features so you can do several activities at once. When using certain applications, users can swipe down on the screen using two fingers to activate the split-screen feature and separate the screen into two different views on the right and left screens.

In addition, the user also performs a pressing motion with four fingers to change the full-screen window into a floating window. Users can also perform traditional gestures such as long press or drag-and-drop an app icon to activate the feature.

The function to switch from the outside screen to the inside or vice versa is also available. In addition, the appearance of the keyboard is also adjusted when using the larger inner screen. Users can activate the split keyboard feature so that users can use two thumbs to type and increase productivity while working.

    6. Camera

OPPO Find N has three main cameras consisting of a 0 MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor, a 16 MP ultra-wide lens and a 13 MP telephoto lens. There is also a selfie camera on the inside and outside of the screen.

FlexForm mode will help users record 4K HD time-lapse videos more easily. The device does not need to be gripped and can stand on its own when bent between 50 and 120 degrees. The device imaging technology has three templates namely light trails, night sky, sun & clouds

While the split-camera UI allows users to use one side of the screen while taking a photo, and then display, send, or delete the photo that was just taken using the other screen. When taking photos using the main camera with the device open, users can use the inside or outside screen to preview the captured photo directly.

    7. Fast performance

OPPO Find N is armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 accompanied by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery is 4,500 mAh and is supported by technologies such as SUPERVOOC Flash Charge 33W and AIRVOOC 15W wireless charging. The OPPO Find N includes a fingerprint scanner placed on the power button, as well as a dual speaker system with Dolby Atmos technology.

Those are the 7 advanced features that are the mainstay of OPPO Find N. This phone comes with an ergonomic design that is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There are three color choices, including Black, White, and Purple. Find N is scheduled to launch in China starting December 23, 2021.
