OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro: First Smart Watches with Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 Chipset

The third generation of OPPO smartwatches is officially announced. The OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are the first smartwatches to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset .

Features of OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro

The difference between OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro is in the screen and battery. The OPPO Watch 3 comes with a 1.75-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 372 x 430 pixels. The AMOLED display panel is coated with a layer of 3D glass. The battery capacity is 400 mAh.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Watch 3 Pro carries a 1.91-inch LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) OLED display panel. The screen resolution is 378 x 496 pixels. Meanwhile, the battery capacity is larger at 550 mAh.

According to OPPO, even though the battery capacities are different, the two smartwatches still offer a longer usage time. OPPO Watch 3 can be used for up to about 4 days in smartwatch mode. For light use, the battery can last up to 10 days. For the LTE model the battery can last up to about 3 days for moderate use and in smartwatch mode.

The OPPO Watch 3 Pro battery can last up to 5 days in smartwatch mode. For lighter use, the battery can last up to 15 days. For the LTE model, the battery can last up to 4 days in smartwatch mode and moderate use.

The specifications of the OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are the same. Both smartwatches are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset and the OPPO Appolo 4 Plus co-processor. It supports 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory is available for storage space.

The OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro carry 100 sport modes, 150 watchfaces and a 5 ATM standard waterproof design. This smartwatch is also equipped with a complete range of sensors.

The sensors it carries include accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic, air pressure sensor, lighting, optical heart rate sensor, Sp02 and ECG. Both can also connect to GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS statelits.

Price of OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro

OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro will go on sale in the Chinese market first. The price of the OPPO Watch 3 is $222 and the Watch 3 Pro is $282.
