Philips has launched another gaming monitor. The latest product is the Evnia 49M2C8900 which comes with a 49-inch curved OLED panel.

The Evnia 49M2C8900 is the successor to the Evnia 34M2C8600 which was released last March. The difference is in the panel size which is much larger.
This gaming monitor comes with a curved panel with a curvature of 1800R. The panel carries QD-OLED technology and can display very sharp images at a resolution of 5K 5120 x 1440 pixels. With an aspect ratio of 32:9 the display on the screen will also be very wide.

To provide an optimal gaming experience, the Evnia 34M2C8600 already supports a refresh rate of 240 Hz. Gamers can also enjoy a variety of HDR content with support for a maximum brightness level of up to 1000 nits.
Gamers can also enjoy accurate color output. This monitor supports 99% DCI-P3 color coverage and 125% Adobe RGB. So, it’s ideal for supporting creative content like photo and video editing.

Other features include a 30W internal speaker, a Type-C port with a 90W Power Delivery feature and an Ambiglow lighting system. This monitor is also equipped with an HDMI 2.1 port. So, compatible with next generation consoles like Playstation and XBOX Series S/X.
Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 price
Even though it has been announced, there is no official information on the price of the Evnia 49M2C8900 later on the market. Even so, this monitor is confirmed to be available in mid-September for the European market first.
First impression
This monitor can be chosen for gamers who need a large screen gaming monitor, high resolution and fast refresh rate. It could be an alternative to the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD which comes with the same 49-inch curved OLED panel, but with only a 144 Hz refresh rate.
