In 2018, Pixii announced the Pixii Camera. This first camera is quite interesting. The design adopts a rangefinder style. Complete with M-mount from Leica. Now, Pixii brings the Pixii Camera update. Improvements seen in the sensor and the features it brings.
Pixii Camera 2021
Even though it was announced 2018, the fact is that the Pixii Camera was only available on the market in 2020. So, between the first and second generations this is only one year apart.

Still maintaining the rangefinder style, the Pixii Camera 2021 now brings an APS-C BSI CMOS sensor with a resolution of 26 megapixels. Replaces the 12 megapixel APS-C sensor in the first generation. According to Pixii, this latest sensor promises better noise control at high ISO. Dynamic range is also increased to about 14 stops.
For ISO settings, Pixii Camera 2021 now provides ISO settings from ISO 160 to ISO 12800. An increase from the first generation which only provides ISO settings from ISO 200 to ISO 6400 only.

The update then propagates to the viewfinder. The Pixii Camera 2021 now comes with an interactive electronic viewfinder. Unlike other rangefinder cameras, this viewfinder allows photographers to directly see and make camera settings by simply turning the settings dial on the body. Settings that can be made such as camera shutter speed, exposure, or white balance.
Another new feature of Pixii Camera 2021 has brought USB-C connectivity. That way, this camera can support faster battery charging. Pixii Camera 2021 also comes with an internal memory to store all photos. The capacity is 8GB. Bigger than the first generation which is only 4GB. If not, Pixii also provides capacity options up to 128GB.

Pixii Camera 2021 will also support photo compression with the GPR algorithm. This algorithm can compress RAW format photos with file sizes up to 10 times smaller.
