Profoto again launches a compact and easy-to-use lighting solution. The newest product is the Profoto A2 . This studio lamp comes with dimensions that are only the size of a soda can.
A2’s Prophoto Features
According to Profoto, the A2 is designed with portability in mind. The body length is about 12.6 cm with a diameter of 7.9 cm. It is also light in weight. Only 770 grams including battery and adapter stand. It is ideal for photographers who often shoot outside the studio and work alone without bringing an assistant.
Behind its very compact dimensions, the Profoto A2 can produce strong lighting up to 100Ws at a temperature of 5,800K. This lamp supports continuous use. However, the maximum light output is only 2.1 W with a color temperature of 3500 K. As a studio-class lighting solution, the Profoto A2 will also support the use of various accessories. For example, umbrellas, softboxes, domes, gels, grids, Profoto Clic light shaping tools and many more.
For energy intake, in conditions of maximum lighting settings the battery can be used up to 400 photos. Recharge the battery for up to 2 hours.
Another feature, Profoto A2 supports the Profoto AirX application on smartphones. Through a Bluetooth connection the user is possible to control it remotely via a smartphone or tablet. Not only that, Profoto A2 can also be connected to the transmitter and trigger ecosystem from Profoto.
