Razer Edge 5G is officially announced. This latest handheld console from Razer is the first in the world to be equipped with 5G connectivity support.

Razer Edge 5G Features

Co-developed with manufacturer Qualcomm this device is the world’s first handheld console to be powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 processor.

The processor is supported by 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of internal memory. If not, there is still a microSD slot that supports capacities up to 2TB. With these specifications, this handheld console is claimed to be able to provide a fast gaming experience with the best graphics quality in its class.

To spoil the eyes of gamers, there is a 6.8-inch AMOLED touch screen panel. The resolution is Full HD + 2400 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Meanwhile, in the controller area, gamers will find the Kishi V2 Pro controller. That way, this screen panel can be removed and used independently as a tablet.

The operating system runs Android 12. This means gamers can play all the Android games available on the Google Play Store. In addition, gamers can also access various game titles from Epic Games or cloud gaming services such as Xbox Game Pass.

Price and availability

This handheld console is planned to be available on the market starting in early 2023. Judging from the Razer website there will be three models available. These include Razer Edge WiFi, Founder Edition and 5G with selling prices starting at US$399.99.
