A brand known for its series of gaming peripheral products, Razer, has launched a new keyboard, which this time comes with interesting technology. Called the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog, the gaming keyboard relies on Razer’s latest Analog Optical Switch.

Features of the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog

Razer claims the Analog Optical Switch embedded in the Huntsman V2 Analog is a new innovation in keyboard switch technology. There are three main components that it carries, namely analog input, adjustable actuation, and dual-step actuation.

The analog input promises a sensation that resembles an analog joystick input, so gamers can have more varied control. Apart from that, the analog input also removes the limitations of the WASD’s 8-way movement and increases it to 360 degrees. Suitable for games with the third-person, shooter, or racing genre.

Meanwhile, Adjustable Actuation allows gamers to adjust the actuation points of each keyboard key to suit various playing styles. Even better, gamers can set from low actuation 1.5mm to full actuation 3.6mm.

Finally, dual-step actuation, is a feature that allows one keystroke to activate two different pre-programmed functions. This feature duplicates the function of each keystroke and is perfect for activating advanced combos in games, such as picking up grenades while throwing them at the same keystroke.

One other thing that distinguishes Analog Optical Switch from traditional mechanical switches, this switch requires fewer components and there are no metal contacts at all, only light. With no contact when pressing, this switch can withstand up to 100 million keyboard key presses.

Price of the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog

Razer Huntsman V2 Analog offers light effects with a choice of up to 16.8 million colors through the Razer Synapse 3 software. Razer Chroma in-game light effects can also be integrated into popular games, to smart lighting at home such as Philips Hue.

For those interested, the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog will be available in Indonesia at the end of February 2021 and is sold for USD $290.
