Along with the development of webcam camera sensor technology, it can now get better. Razer has proven this through its newest webcam, the Kiyo Pro Ultra .

Features of the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra

One thing that is in the spotlight on this webcam is in the sensor sector. The sensor used by Starvis 2 is 1/1.2 inches from the Sony manufacturer. Thanks to this sensor, Kiyo Pro Ultra has succeeded in becoming the first webcam with the largest sensor size on the market. With a very large sensor size, Kiyo Pro Ultra promises quality image capture that is equivalent to a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Right in front of the sensor is a lens with an aperture of F1.7. This combination allows Kiyo Pro Ultra to be more reliable in low light conditions. With an aperture of F1.7 users can also get a bokeh effect in the background.

According to Razer, the Kiyo Pro Ultra can record 4K video at 24fps or 1440p 30fps without compression. Apart from that, it can also support HDR video recording at Full HD 1080p resolution 60 fps or 30fps. This makes it able to compete strictly with Logitech Brio and Elgato Facecam Pro. Another excellent feature of this webcam is that there is an omnidirectional microphone that can capture sound from all directions. So, it can be used directly without the need for an additional microphone.

Other features include support for digital zoom, AI Face-tracking, automatic camera lens cover to protect privacy, and various camera settings available including camera shutter speed and ISO. All of these settings can be accessed via the Razer Synapse application.

Price and availability

This webcam is readily available through the Razer site. If interested, the price of the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra is US $300.
