Alaptop that is fast and suitable for video editing, but has a thin and aesthetic design. That’s the most fitting description for the following ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED UM5401.

In addition to its thin and relatively light design, this laptop relies on a brilliant OLED screen and qualified specifications to meet the needs of content creators. Even ASUS also provides a free subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud for 3 months for those of you who buy this laptop.

ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UM5401 design

In terms of design, the body of the Zenbook 14X OLED Series uses a strong aluminum material with a relatively light weight of 1.4kg. This laptop has also passed the MIL-STD 810H military standard endurance test. which indicates that this laptop will be more resistant to impact and when operated in extreme temperatures and altitudes.

This laptop uses an ErgoLift design that will lift the hinge side up when the screen is open. In addition to providing extra comfort when typing, the space created is also a ventilation space that reduces the heat of the laptop while operating.

ASUS also pays special attention to the keyboard. Each key has a deep enough press distance that makes typing more comfortable and more accurate. This is important for users who need a laptop that can be invited to type fast.

To save space, ASUS has also placed a fingerprint sensor on the power button. Each keyboard key is also equipped with a backlight that can be adjusted in 3 brightness levels. Completeness of ports including minimal. There are only two USB Type C ports, one USB Type A port, one memory card reader slot and one HDMI port. This is a compromise so that the laptop body appears thinner.

    ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UM5401 . screen

One of the superior features of the laptop that we are reviewing is the screen that already uses an OLED touchscreen panel with a resolution of 2.8K. Color accuracy, which is important for content creators, is also considered, with color coverage of up to 100% for the DCI-P3 standard and a color palette that is compliant with PANTONE standards.

The visual quality of this laptop when displaying photos and videos is indeed very stunning. It delivers truly deep blacks, while its 1 million to 1 contrast ratio also makes colors look vibrant. Overall, the screen will satisfy all users, both content creators and movie lovers.

For those who are still hesitant to use OLED because there is a risk of burn-in, ASUS also provides a screen warranty of up to 7000 hours. This is certainly longer than most users.

    ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UM5401 . performance

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED that we reviewed uses a combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. (show specs on screen) The 7nm fabricated design and innovative technology owned by the AMD Ryzen 5900HX processor is able to provide fast performance for even tough applications, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier Pro.

From testing, the performance of this laptop is fast for various needs. Even for gaming, this laptop is still capable although you have to settle for low graphics settings for most modern games.

Another secret of its fast performance lies in its effective fan and the presence of smart sensors that can detect the temperature of various components. The fan design is also special, with 82 blades that effectively dissipate heat from the inside. It’s just that, the burst of heat is still felt near the hinge and the bottom of the screen. But this is normal for most thin design laptops.

For those who need a laptop to work anywhere, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED battery can last quite a long time. Although it doesn’t reach 11 hours as claimed, at least this laptop can be used for about 8 hours with the Wi-Fi position on continuously and the screen brightness level of around 60%.

ASUS has included a 100 watt adapter that can charge the battery fast. You can also use a Power Delivery certified charger to charge other devices faster and safer.

    Conclusion

With a variety of advanced features, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED is ideal for content creators or users who need a fast but thin laptop.

The performance offered by the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX will allow various jobs to be completed more quickly, while an OLED screen with above-average color accuracy will also be appreciated by professional content creators.

ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED UM5401 is officially available in Indonesia at a price of USD $1,189. This price is aggressive and attractive, considering that AMD Ryzen 9 has performance above Intel Core i7 which is sold on average in the same price range.
