This year, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 line really stole the attention. The ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with an innovative foldable OLED display. Then, there is the ThinkPad X1 Nano which has managed to become the lightest ThinkPad laptop. Now, we have the opportunity to try the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA. Curious how great this thinnest ThinkPad laptop is? Check out his review as follows.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA Design
The thinnest in the ThinkPad family, its body thickness is only about 11.5 mm. It is also very light in weight. Only 907 grams. As a result, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA is very easy to move around. Save space in the bag, while not weighing on the shoulders.

In addition to the very thin body dimensions, the design also must be thumbs up. ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA looks more modern. No longer sharing the very iconic ThinkPad design with an all-black body color.
The body design at the top carries carbon fiber and titanium materials. One plus the surface of the body is resistant to finger prints. So, it is not easy to get dirty. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the chassis using magnesium-aluminum material. With a titanium body color, it looks very luxurious and premium.

Entering the YOGA line, this laptop offers a convertible 2-in-1 concept. The hinge of the screen can be folded 360 degrees. You can fully fold it into a tablet. Or, use it in other modes such as tent and stand. Switching modes of use is also very easy. The overall design of the body and the screen hinge feels very sturdy.
Its toughness is also unquestionable. Although the body is very thin, entering the ThinkPad line, the design is durable according to MIL-STD military standards.

Like thin laptops in general, it does not carry many connectivity ports. On the left side of the body can be found two Thunderbolt 4 ports (supports data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4a). Meanwhile, on the right side there is the power button, 3.5mm audio jack and Kensington lock slot.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA Screen
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA comes with a 13.5-inch IPS touch screen panel. The resolution is QHD 2256 x 1504 pixels. The screen panel carries a 3:2 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio gives the screen a wider view upwards. Very convenient to use for productivity.

The screen brightness is up to 400 nits. Do not abstain in bright lighting conditions. In addition, the colors on the screen also support 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and Dolby Vision HDR which are adequate for content creation needs.
The touch screen response is also very good with the touch of a finger. Other inputs that it supports can use the Lenovo Precision Pen pen which is already available in the sales package.

The Lenovo Precision Pen offers pressure sensitivity levels of up to 4096 pressures. Very convenient to use for writing or drawing. One plus, Lenovo equips this Precision Pen with magnets. So, it can be affixed to the right side of the body so it doesn’t get lost when traveling.
Keyboard Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA
In addition to the tough body design, another Lenovo ThinkPad feature that the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA brings can be seen in the keyboard area. On the keyboard can be found the red dot trackpoint mouse that has become the hallmark of ThinkPad.

lf is quite comfortable to use. It’s not as comfortable as a ThinkPad keyboard in general. This is because the distance between the keys are quite close together and the dimensions of the keyboard are smaller according to the size of the body. To accompany typing in dim conditions, Lenovo pinned a white backlit lamp.
At the bottom of the keyboard the mouse touchpad area is quite large. The response with the swipe of a finger is also very good. Like other ThinkPads, the top of the touchpad is equipped with left and right click buttons that are comfortable to press. The difference is, the touchpad mouse it carries is based on haptics with Force Field technology from Sensel. So, there are no moving parts. According to Lenovo, this is very helpful in keeping the body design slim and can accommodate a larger battery.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA Features
Security features are one of the priority features on the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA as a business laptop. To protect privacy Lenovo ThinkShutter is ready to close the webcam when not in use.

Meanwhile, for additional security, there is fingerprint sensor support and an IR camera that is compatible with Windows Hello for Windows login with face detection. The performance of the IR camera is also very responsive. Face detection can be done very briefly to unlock the security.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA also has artificial intelligence support as an additional security. Intelligent Security features are available with User Presence Sensing, Zero Touch Lock and Zero Touch Login options.
If enabled, this feature allows the laptop to automatically unlock and lock the screen by detecting the existence of usage. There is also an Intelligent Screen feature that can automatically dim the screen if it detects the user is looking down or walking. All of these features can be accessed via Lenovo Commercial Vantage. For other smart features on the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA, you can take advantage of the Glance by Mirametrix application which can also be found on the Lenovo YOGA premium line.
In our opinion, the presence of these smart features has succeeded in providing a different user experience when compared to other business laptops in its class.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA Performance
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA is one of the laptops with EVO certification from Intel. Its performance is entrusted to the 11th Generation Intel Core processor, Intel Core i7-1180G7. The amount of RAM it carries is 16GB and uses M.2 2242 PCIe 3.0x 4 NVMe SSD storage space with a capacity of 1TB. Given the very thin body design, there is no upgrade option on this laptop. The benchmark results are as follows.
From our tests to support daily productivity, the performance is very satisfying. Feels fast even though you do a lot of multitasking, running several applications at the same time. Running productivity applications like Office and browsing is definitely more than enough. The Intel Iris Xe graphics chip is also very reliable for enjoying multimedia content up to 4K resolution.
Then what about the thermal management? For a laptop with a very thin body design, the cooling system it carries is quite good. The cooling fan is relatively quiet. Moderate use will indeed cause a warm feeling on the surface of the body. Especially at the top of the keyboard. However, not too bothersome. At the bottom of the body surface there is also a slight feeling of warmth.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA Battery
Like other Intel EVO standard laptops, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA offers a long runtime. From our tests, for standard use typing and browsing with a screen brightness level of 50% percent, connecting to WiFi, activating power saver mode, disabling the location feature, bluetooth and without an active backlight the battery can last up to about 9.5 hours. Adequate enough to accompany work activities for those with high mobility.
Conclusion
The slimmest body design in the ThinkPad line is indeed the main attraction. Combined with the 2-in-1 convertible concept and high-end performance, this business laptop is very flexible and versatile for the various productivity needs of high-mobility business people.
Indeed there are still some compromises that we found. Even so, overall the ThinkPad X1 Titanium YOGA is still very capable and seems to be the new standard for premium class 2-in-1 convertible business laptops for business people with thick pockets.
