Rode has a very exciting new product for streamers and content creators. Called the Rode Streamer X, it’s a device that combines a professional-grade audio interface with a video capture card that can record up to 4K resolution at 30fps.

Features of the Rode Streamer X

As an audio interface, users can connect XLR and line-level microphones to Streamer X, and of course headsets. This device has a built-in Rode Revolution preamp. In addition to the combo XLR port, there are also two USB-C ports, one HDMI input port and one HDMI output port, as well as two ports for headsets.

As for its capabilities as a video capture card, Streamer X can capture and stream footage up to 4K resolution at 30fps or 2K at 60fps, and offers video passthrough up to 4K 60fps. Perfect for streamers who often broadcast on Twitch or record gaming footage for gameplay videos on YouTube.

On the front of the console there are four buttons that can be customized via a PC as triggers to produce certain sound effects. The existence of a USB-C pair itself allows users to connect to two different PCs at the same time.

Not to forget, Rode Streamer X is fully compatible with various Rode software, including Unify, Rode Central, and Rode Connect. Through these software users can adjust the audio to appear optimally when streaming.
