The second generation of the Rocket Nano SSD from Sabrent is officially announced. Rocket Nano V2 now comes with a choice of large capacity, faster speed and very compact dimensions.

Features of Sabrent Rocket Nano V2

Entering the pocket-sized SSD category, the body dimensions are smaller than the size of a credit card. Body length is only 1.3 inches and 0.6 inches wide. Meanwhile, it only weighs about 54 grams. So, you can be sure that this SSD is very portable and easy to carry anywhere.

Updates then propagate in the capacity and performance sectors. Behind its tiny body, this SSD storage space capacity is available up to 4TB. Meanwhile, thanks to USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connectivity, Rocket Nano V2 can record data transfer speeds of up to 1500 MB/s. Increased significantly from the first generation. The first generation Rocket Nano is capable of offering data transfer speeds of up to 1000 MB/sec relying on USB 3.1 Gen2 connectivity.

To compensate for its fast performance, the Rocket Nano V2 is equipped with an aluminum casing. So, it can better absorb the heat generated. In addition, the body is also coated with silicone material to protect it from dust and water.

In the sales package, the Rocket Nano V2 comes with a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cable. So, users can install this SSD on almost any device. Rocket Nano V2 is compatible with Windows-based PC systems, Mac, Android tablets and smartphones, to game consoles. In fact, this device is specifically designed to be compatible with the Steam Deck handheld console from Valve.

Price and availability

The 4TB Sabrent Rocket Nano V2 retails for US$500. If 4TB is too big there is a 1TB option priced at US$120 and US$200 for 2TB capacity.
