The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have finally been officially introduced. This latest flagship device offers a series of upgrades from the previous generation, including a fresher design and a larger battery.
Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+
One of the improvements that can be considered quite exclusive is the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy. Unlike the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, for this special version Qualcomm offers a higher clock speed.
The camera is also rearranged. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ still rely on a 50 MP sensor but can now record videos up to 8K resolution at 30fps. Apart from that, there is also a 12 MP 120 degree ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera.
The Expert RAW application itself can now shoot at 50 MP resolution, an increase from the previous 12 MP on the Galaxy S22 Series . As for selfie matters, users are presented with a 12 MP camera that can record Super HDR 60fps videos.

How about the screen? Pretty much hasn’t changed much. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X Full HD + panel with a refresh rate of 48-120Hz is still a mainstay. Samsung doesn’t forget to provide Game Mode with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
The difference between the Galaxy S23 and S23+ is still the same, which is related to the screen size. The Galaxy S23 measures 6.1 inches, while the plus version is 6.6 inches. The screen design is the same, aka flat with a small punch hole in the top center. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 which is claimed to be tougher.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S23 Series 5G is more environmentally friendly because it has increased the use of recycled materials from previously only 6 internal components to 12 internal and external components.
This smartphone utilizes a wider range of recycled material sources than other Galaxy lines, including recycled aluminum and glass from manufacturing activities and recycled plastic from public consumption activities obtained from used fishing nets, PET bottles and water barrels.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 is equipped with a 3,900 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S23+ has a 4,700 mAh battery. The S23’s charging technology is 25W and is promised to charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. For the Galaxy S23+, Samsung provides a more sophisticated technology, namely 45W, and is able to charge 65 percent in 35 minutes. Support for wireless charging and wireless power sharing is of course still available.
The use of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy also adds advantages to the connectivity sector. The Galaxy S23 Series 5G is now supported by WiFi 6E 6GHz and Bluetooth 5.3. Finally, all members of the Galaxy S23 Series 5G have an IP68 rating, which means they are water resistant up to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

For those interested, Samsung has opened pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 Series 5G via Samsung.com since February 2, 2023. The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are sold at prices starting at USD $859.99. Available colors include Cream, Phantom Black, Green, and Lavender, as well as two online exclusive colors, namely Graphite and Lime.
