Galaxy Tab S8 Presents as the cheapest option in the lineup of Samsung’s newly released flagship tablets. There are various interesting improvements offered by the Tab S8 compared to the previous generation. Even so, we think Samsung also still has a few notes that might be considered for future updates.

For those of you who are interested in proposing the Galaxy Tab S8 in the near future, here we present the advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages of Galaxy Tab S8

1. Slim and premium

Compared to the Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra, the Galaxy Tab S8 is the smallest tablet. The screen size is 11 inches. Wide but still slim and comfortable to carry on the go, even when the keyboard cover is attached. Galaxy Tab S8 adopts premium metal material.

2. Relief screen, 120Hz

The Galaxy Tab S8 is equipped with an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 LTPS TFT screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. There is an adaptive function that will adjust the refresh rate automatically according to the content being displayed. Although the panel is not yet Super AMOLED, the brightness level and color presentation are commendable. The 11-inch size itself makes this tablet like a fun canvas for drawing and writing.

3. Great audio

Thanks to the Quad Stereo Speakers developed by AKG and support for Dolby Atmos technology, the Tab S8 is able to produce solid audio. Watching movies, listening to music, and playing games is even more satisfying.

4. S Pen latency is getting lower

The latest generation S Pen belonging to the Galaxy Tab S8 has lower latency. His writing experience is even more similar to scribbling pen on paper. This S Pen requires power from the built-in battery. When you attach it to the magnetic area of the tablet, the S Pen will automatically charge. Not just for writing, the Galaxy Tab S8’s S Pen can be used for selfies, controlling presentations, and playing music/movies.

5. Smooth performance for various needs

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is armed with the fastest chipset from Qualcomm today, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm. Its performance is agile and very responsive to run various applications, whether it’s for productivity, multitasking, to entertainment. The Genshin Impact game can also be run pretty well on this tablet.

6. The camera is designed to support video conferencing applications

This Android 12-based tablet is equipped with a 13 MP main camera accompanied by a 6 MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, Samsung embeds a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. For those who often use video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Samsung has embedded an Auto Framing feature that can ensure your position is always in the center of the screen.

7. Samsung DeX

DeX still provides an experience like using a laptop. Not only the appearance, some standard functions that you usually find on a PC are also available, such as copying or moving files by drag and drop.

Disadvantages of Galaxy Tab S8

1. Can’t charger

Yes, in the sales package, again you will not get a charger. The solution? Buy separately.

2. It would be more interesting if there was still a 3.5mm audio jack port

Only minor shortcomings, but still providing a 3.5mm audio jack port may be welcomed positively by users who prefer to use a wired headset.

3. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 performance can be even faster

There is a possibility that the power from this chipset is somewhat restrained so that the temperature rise is not excessive. Even though it manages to keep the temperature cool, the true potential of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is not yet fully out.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 WiFi is available in Graphite color options. For those who are interested, the price is $695.90. While the 5G version is priced at $904.69.
